Ah, ggh has Time for a quick confession: that was her. She threw it out there on the off-chance that the bsta name could be suggested via Two Words. The internet told her that Dobleslaw is a Polish name that means "striving for glory". She capitalized Pondered to suggest it as a verb/name, kinda in the spirit of Johnny Dangerously, while still keeping the sentence going. It didn't really have any effect, so then she tried it again because she's a slow learner.

Sadly I haven't actually written much this yip. I've procrastinated a lot though! Including on writing this post. I tried writing it a few dips ago but the internet ate my cookie. I mean, I was travelling in a carcastle with my leopad performing timeaccess in a cellular manner, so it kept disconnecting and reconnecting while I was writing my post, so I got logged out of the fora and so my post vanished.

Let's see if I can remember what I'd written...
Ah, yes. Thanks for all the bug reports and suggestions for my website. They're always welcome. Hopefully I'll get to putting the feedback into practise soon. Not sure if I can do anything about the avatars, as they are randomly generated by Gravatar.

I've finally sorted out some important parts of backstory so maybe we'll see more of Skids in the near future. But I've also got edits to make to the inital chapters and a new chapter to add before the beginning - probably - so I can't make any promises. Also I might procrastinate again :(

As for my missing avatar, I removed it a while back because I was concerned about non-OTTer scrutiny. Maybe I'll get a new one some time.

I woke up to a Bright Light illuminating the white bark of the Birch and Alder Trees.

grab my walking stick and wander out there to find out what was so light.

A minor bsta observation: when you first get an ONG, a > appears below the countdown, but without a link to the next frame, then at some point later, the title of the next ONG is added to that >. When the countdown is completed, that title becomes a link.

ggh had guessed that maybe the title appeared halfway through the countdown, but that's not correct. It still wasn't there when there were 13 hours and change to go. If ggh remembers correctly (why doesn't she write these things down?) she saw Continue entering name first this time with 12:57:58 to go.

Sorry ggh can't find it right now, on account of the Moon being down again, but if you look for "1110", you'll find it. Might under be the third or fourth main category, but that's a pretty fuzzy memory, and even her clear memories are pretty unreliable.

About figuring something out... ggh feels there's an excellent chance of that.
    What significance does ENHANCED DETAIL LEVEL on the cassette player/tape hold?
    Was the tense change in balthasar's look-through-the-window-to-see-the-door comment intentional?
    Is the 40-hour delay before the next frame for balthasar, or for us, or both?
    Is there a way to take the write-protection off the tape?

lmjb is glad you linked to that post from balthabrilliant, because she has not done all her ketchup yet. That post is yet another wonderful insight into the mind of our balthasar. She thinks that there probably is some significance in that statement, and the change of tense. But mostly her head hurts from trying to understand a discussion by people who are way, way above her in understanding. She can only hope that if she stumbles along and reads what the smart people are saying, eventually she will understand. :D

ETA ggh has given lmjb an idea to try for in 2 words, but now there is m*stard. Lmjb is afraid of Coincidence. She doesn't know how to use it. And also, m*stard.

The original location of that website is still available (http://baltixy.w.interia.pl). I don't use that service anymore. They discontinued it. But for some reason they still keep the websites on their server. I can't log in and change things. There are also other reasons I had to stop using it. They started automatically adding their javascripts to my .htm files. And I only had 40MB available. (I used over 60. The server's actual upload limit was about 68). And I couldn't make anything interactive there. Only upload files. That didn't stop me from having most of the pages autogenerated. Every time I made an update I used a program to regenerate the .htm files. Then I uploaded them to the server. When I wrote the generator (/generatr.cpp) I was very proud of it.

It wasn't awkwardly written. A native English speaker might say it just like that too. It had just enough ambiguity - like so many things written in English - that ggh wondered if the "door" had already been noticed (Hidden Interface) or if there was some other door to look for. Lots of things are ambiguous and it doesn't matter, but when the games are afoot, some of those things suddenly seem worth investigating, no? Many thanks for putting a halt on that particular wild goose chase. :)

About the botcastle not being available recently.
After a first look at the situation it seems that one and two days ago the computer still worked but there was no internet access for about 2 hours. It will investigate this later.

That sounds terrible. And yet... you bringing up write-protection twice, and also saying that the tape interface was important, made ggh wonder.
A perhaps annoying side-effect of you putting this together so awesomefully and also with all the little hints you gave, is that ggh has become suspicious of everything you do and say. She even went as far as to consider that the botcastle being unavailable might turn out to be a plot point. She may have gone a bit overboard. ggh apologizes if she is being a pain in the butt, or detracting from the moment. You can tell her to stop speculating and just wait for it in quiet enjoyment, and she will.

Svenman is no longer so firmly in the grip of the outside and finds some time to peek out of the shed. He has been noticing that a few other smart and curious OTTers are being busy figuring things out about Balthasar's latest clever OTTer-teasing device but feels content to sit back and watch.

Rather, he feels inclined to devote his efforts on a bit of wiki-ketchup (which he in fact already got started on) to keep on wikifying the OTT's near-past and present and, once that has been achieved for the moment, to continue his wiki-schizoblitz for wikifying various parts of the OTT's past, or making sure that they already have been wikified, however things may turn out. He also is quite happy to see some company again in the form of other recently active wiki editors.
