New othercomic. That's what the first part of understanding precision looks like.

Edit: Oh, poped. Decree: Haiku.

That is the way the
first part of understanding
precision looks like.

Edit 2: Looks like the One True Wiki is going to be migrated. As of now, xkcd-time.fandom.com doesn't work yet, though.
Apart from Forum Games, mostly active on the One True Thread.
If you need help understanding what's going on there, the xkcd Time Wiki may be useful.

Addams thanks all of us who helped. Her life is much better now.

I am only 12NP behind; the Basement has been exceptionally seaish recently. (Also, I'm surprised by my surprise that the spellchecker doesn't inherently recognise "seaish" as a standardH word.)

It does not help that on the Outside, my third child is due to arrive soon. Perhaps in the next couple of wips.

That's a pretty good reason for being Outside though.

WFFS hunting goes on. Interview the day after tomorrow, with a company based in ED & SA-land. I don't expect to get to go there though. The actual WFFS would be here. (Still seems like a good opportunity.)

The search must go on.

Hey all,

I used to post in this thread a bit, in the early days (while "Time" was actually happening).

Can anyone summarize for me what this thread is currently used for?

Time has passed, and yet
the thread of Time continues.
Time will never end.

Welcome back Someguy945! When the Voldeframe appeared, ending the One True Comic, the molpish community formed in the One True Thread could not abide the end of such a really big tree. Initially there was a Great Outpouring of creative works related to the OTC, and then various sequels and prequels and orthogoquels appeared, extending the world of Time in a seaish number of directions (and dimensions). Meanwhile, the people who had found a home here discussing everything related to the comic (basically, everything) and built up relationships with each other wanted to stick around. So there is actually still a lot going on. The pace is a bit less raptorish, but it's easier to catch up if you fall into the basement for a while. (Yeah, I have condiment too).

There are still two or three ongoing stories, and a wiki that tries to tell all, but there's so much it's not really possible. :)

So welcome back, dive in, and have some molpyberry wine! Glad to have you around again.

This recent post by SilentTimer sums it up well. (SilentTimer is the author of a sequel to time of over 1400 newpix, totally worth Blitzing, IMHO.)

I have redownloaded (and re-remapped) the whole t-1 story from the mscha viewer to my viewer:
http://1190.bicyclesonthemoon.info/aftertime/viewer?story=t-1&e=1&f=1
why?
  • the "original filename" link was missing for about 300 or so first frames.
    That's because I added recording it while t-1 was already ongoing. Only the frames downloaded after that had it.
    Now all of them have it.
  • taixo updated some frames after they were already ONGed. Now my viewer has all the updated versions. Some 3D mustard was removed.
    The remapped versions of these frames have changed:
    • 260
    • 323
    • 335
    • 336
    • 337
    • 338
    • 339
    • 340
    • 341
    • 342
    • 343
    • 344
    • 345
    • 601
    • 602
    • 603
    • 604
    • 605
    • 606
    • 625
    • 626
    • 627
    • 628
    I still have the original files. I'll think how to add them to the viewer.
    Maybe a third category? original, remapped and now remapped-mustarded or something like that?

I forgot to say earlier, the bike is fixed.
The guy did a very good job for a surprisingly low price.

ETA:
I made a small change in the html generated by the aftertime viewer.
example from phys frame 4, the <head> part:

Code: Select all

<head>
<title>phys-0004 &bull; time after Time viewer &bull; Bicycles on the Moon</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/img/favicon.png">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/botm.css">
<link rel="index" href="/aftertime/">
<link rel="start" href="/aftertime/viewer?story=phys&amp;f=0">
<link rel="prev" href="/aftertime/viewer?story=phys&amp;f=3">
<link rel="next" href="/aftertime/viewer?story=phys&amp;f=5">
</head>
I added to the html header the information what are the URLs to the first, previous, and next frame. and to the one level above.
If a browser is smart enough to use this information now it can.
Some browsers can preload the next page while you're still on the previous one -> better blitzing experience.
Some browsers can have defined keyboard shortcuts and other such things.

I want to add helpful link information to the html headers of everything in 1190.bicyclesonthemoon.info. Wait for it.
