It reminds me of a medical show "flat line". I hope something more happens to rid me of that mental image.

...and now I'm caught up...

So much aweomeness in the last few NewPages! Even in the face of what seemed like a certain end, the Timewaiters have clung together and been positive and supportive in their fear and worry. I salute you all! I consider myself very, very lucky to be a part of the OTT-community.

And as for the OTC: This is NOT what I was expecting. A sudden appearance of a flat black (possibly semenatedcaffinebabbysea) horizon!? No slow fade-in from the all white, just "Ba-dah-GONG" and there it is...

Time moves in mysterious ways.

And so it must relate to a song. How 'bout a paraphrase of Black and White (for you olde pharts):

"The sea is black,
The sky is white;
Together we Wait
to see the light.

A pixel's black,
A pixel's white;
Together they form
a beautiful sight...
A beautiful sight."

Montov wrote:Why did a lot of people feared the comic was going to end, while there were so many unanswered questions and events going on?

Because they watched Dark Angel, John Doe, Kyle XY (which seems just like John Doe from what I read) Firefly, and/or Lost, and they have not enough faith in the Great Lord Randall.

It's so weird seeing BlitzGirl post short, prompt posts. I never thought about which now-timezone she was in before, but now it looks like it might even be near mine. See, she even posted while I was writing this post! And it was something I'd been thinking of, too. :)

Michael Jackson's “Black or White” ... from the album “This is It”?

Hmm... this is a flat land/peanut butter/something and not a slope as before. I don't think it's the sea1, it doesn't look like the usual ripples water has in Randall's drawings.

1Still very big.

ETA: Ebony and Ivory is a nice Black and White song.

There is a little hump (or 2) in the screen. That's an indication it's not the sea (notoriously b.i.g).

I've looked on Google Maps giving these 2 humpy clues, and it seems to be in the vicinity of an area adjacent to a location.
I predict M&C will be walking in the frame, probably from the left, carrying bags. Maybe they'll tak monsters, or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples; it could also be something much better.

mscha wrote:Just a quick note that the time stamps for the new newpix are identical to the old ones: 2013-04-22T01:07:25-04:00 internal and Apr 22 05:31 UTC external. But that doesn't say much, since both sets of timestamps are almost certainly falsified by the Lord Randall.

This would be a really weird fade effect in a normal-speed animation, by the way. Slowly fade to white, followed by an instantaneous (fade-less) switch to a new scene?

Every new beginning starts with a Big Bang. Then it fades out.

We were waiting for It all this time, and the whole thing was just a publicity stunt for that album?

Yes, that's the one that jumped in my head first, but I don't know. I like StratPlayer's Three Dog Night snippet. :D

Yum!

"The key to eating a black and white cookie, Elaine, is you want to get some black and some white in each bite. Nothing mixes better than vanilla and chocolate. And yet, still, somehow racial harmony eludes us. If people would only look to the cookie. All our problems would be solved."

EDITED to add the Seinfeld reference, of course...

So, I was organizing my own quotes collection, and I noticed we don't have a name for this period.
I suggest “The New Era” and “The Post-fading Period”.

I think it would be fair to say that the end of the fading marks the beginning of a whole new eon. The first six eras with their thirty periods being only the first of (hopefully) many eons.

So something happened this weekend and I've found myself 15 NewPages in the past. (and when I fell asleep1 last night, I was only 5 NewPages behind.

Seems I slipped into a whirling time vortex of some kind. Hopefully I can catch up and find out what happened.

1 I hope it's not heretical not to use the word coma, but even if it is, I guess the heresy will bring me closer to my Western Paradox Faith...

I feel it my duty to finally post and make myself visible.

First of all, congratulations and welcome to BlitzGirl. What an incredible journey through Time!

Unfortunately, I would be lying if I were to say that I followed the OTC with any diligence. Since the Beginning I have remained on the Outside, venturing in only to check up on progress every 12-36 Newpix or so, and filling in the gaps with the compiled gifs.

I have lurked long enough on the forum to feel moved by the events of the past ~24 Newpix. BlitzGirl made it, just as it looked like the End of the OTC was upon us. But just when it seemed like all was finally over, what joy to have come back to see something after #ffffff! With a new scene, and the return of Cueball and Megan, I think it is only right that I thank all the Initiates, who have really created something grand.

Humble beginnings,
A people rose from nothing
To watch over time

Alright, I'm finally joining and saying hello just to say that this thread is awesome and that I'm so glad that the OTC is not over.
