Well, at least now we know why Cueball was worrying about "our rope [not being] strong enough" in his sleep.

Edit: Added alt-text because XonqNopp's got a point. But I wonder how full that glass is.

Oi, I was going to say that, but I spent too much time checking and rechecking the ALT text for the images. So yes, I think you see what you expect (and it follows therefore, that Red Hal is sinister).

From a giraffe stable, obviously.

Added: I saw that Cueball as right-handed too, but I was also quite aware that you couldn't really tell either way from that drawing.

Well, she's got hair. Maybe that's enough to compensate for his ball ...

They're two-dimensional, so I guess they shouldn't have any mass unless they're made of singularity (I wonder if they have a pet DogCow.)

Hello all, it's been a long time.
Bank holiday weekend took over me somewhat, but I've been keeping an eye on the book of Aubron (swish new outside timer by the way, nice work Aubron).
Anything else I should know, are hats still in fashion, or have we moved onto feather boas? If we have I'm screwed on account of having no neck...

Just checked the beginning of the OTT for the newpix plugin and I was wondering... Is anyone here still guessing that this comic has something to do with Lord Randall and His family? Whether good or bad news?? Or did he only burn His brain out and tried to make a world work-decrease by catching the attention of His readers for more than (3x1min+10min)/week??

Dramaturgically, now would be the right time for a quick fade over to the sandcastle, where we can see LaPetite struggling among the waves in a crumbling castle, and then quickly back to the long journey.

What are the positive associations with winstre (obviously related to the norse venstre)?

The suffix. Compare, as you rightly pointed out, the Norse (actually vinstre), the Swedish vänster, and the Danish venstre . The suffixes -tre/ter indicate something "better" or "more auspicious". The word occurred to me after reading this article in the Oxford University Press's blog.

But... sinister shares the suffix. Better than sin? Sounds entertaining.

On an additional side note: Are there any references to 99 balloons beside that German New Wave song

Looks like more server problems; that's why I ended up posting the oldhash before. My server hadn't gotten the last two before I noticed, and I'm having trouble getting the connection to behave, and not getting the NewPix in the web page either. :P  FWIW, servers c3, c4, and c5 seem to be problematic, so far.

Sinister did have positive connotations for the Romans, but that has been overshadowed by the modern meaning of the word.
