Look out for WHAT, Cuey? WHAT?!

Bearmolpy? Giant meowmolpy? Velociraptormolpy?

The suspense! The suspense!

Edit: Oh hey, I'm pope. Well, I have no decree. I could decree that you all wait in suspense to find out what's about to jump on Megan, but you'll be doing that anyway.

MOLPYCAT! I Choose you! GO!

I don't think it is the same as edgemolpy. Too close to the ground. I think it is a molpycat. I think someone called that earlier, mentioning the apparent appearance of a swishing tail in the bushes.

Thank you all for the congratulations! :D Time for a ketchup:

mscha: Thanks for all of the cupcakescakecookies!
wizpretz: You're very welcome for the wizard pretzel - glad you liked it!
Yappo: Loved "Putting on the Blitz"!
mittagleffler : Happy to have you with us!
Thanks for all the responses to Super Mariogan - I think Time would be an awesome side-scroller game. :D

On LaPetite - this would be an awfully long distance for her to travel. I don't think this is her home; I think she is one of the "kids" mentioned earlier by Cuegan.
On the new minicastle - yay! Nostalgia! Just what old farts like myself love!
On the gholpy - It seems to have a tail in one frame of mscha's gif. I do still think it was the edgemolpy - the sightings are way too close together for that to be a coincidental appearance, methinks.

Such suspense!! This is really getting exciting ... Well, as exciting as it gets seeing 1 frame at a time.

Also, is the placement of "LOOK OUT!" a bit off? I think it's supposed to be Cueball exclaiming it, but there's no corresponding physical reaction (pointing, backing away, etc.). Maybe it's coming from out of the frame?

ETA: I was thinking of putting together a ketchup post, but it would have just been recognition for all of the awesomeness that's been posted. Even though there's a lot of great content that's worthy of repeated recognition I'd rather not clutter up the OTT with the nth iteration of it. If everyone commented on everything they liked, we'd be flooded with nothing but congratulations and thanks. So, from now on please assume that I've read and enjoyed everything even if I don't say so explicitly.

You do, perhaps. I don't, the social networking planet is definitely alien to me. Image (I don't even have a Facebook account, and I'll keep that up as long as I can.)

Look closely at that map. You might see familiar places.
You do realize that this is a map of online communities, not just social networking sites? Online communities like... hmm... if only I could think of an example... it was something traditionally pulled by a needle, but also having something to do with computer programming... Ah, the woes of old age!

I think if a molpycat was leaping toward you, you wouldn't point at it. On the other hand, if it really was a molpycat I would expect him to be off balance at this moment, about to fall on his ass as his body tries to catch up with his brain screaming shit shit shit shit RUN.

I'm so glad you all liked the molpyshark streogranimation! :D And I'm glad ChronosDragon was able to see it! It's funny that when I saw my friend post it on Facebook, my very first thought was, "The OTT folk are going to love this..."

Also, a super-congrats to BlitzGirl for her millennial post! Thanks for being awesome!

And bt-dubs, I am SERIOUSLY at the edge of me seat to find out what's about to happen in the OTC! I have not been this eager for the next ONG in a REALLY long time.

(By the way, I kinda predicted this 3 newpix before they even saw the shed.)

How dare they! But on the plus side, now it looks like I'm Megan. Alright, Megan is now allowed to sell half a pixel of butter per newpix, but Cueball is banned from ever doing so.

I also loved (without disapproval) Putting on the Blitz. :D

And also the Mario level, even though I never got to play that game (only the cool kids had it, or something.)

If this is LaPetite's clubhouse, then I wonder if she's tall enough to see out the window, and I also wonder whether she's gone to the beach to get more sand for her sandpit, and if her frequent pilfering of sand is what causes the coastline to erode and the water to appear to rise.

For the doubters, the loopists, and the dreamers (and me, la la la la la la la... why are there so many songs about molpies, and where they're endemic to? Molpies are pixels, that cause us confusion. Molpies don't have to be true… but I digress), I present They went to build towers, to the tune of She went to pick flowers by Mara Levi (a song I like enough to have made a music video for, which happens to feature sandcastles.) The original doesn't have a lot of rhymes, which makes it almost too easy to ottify, but for want of constraints I did kind of make it rhyme with and follow the you/they sort of structure of the original in a lot of places. Still, it's a bit rough; I just wanted to pay forward the present presents and stuff before going to coma.

They went to build towers by the ocean one newpix,
and now they’re walking away.
They must have had questions the sea could not answer
to tell their sand castles “bye

Spoiler:
They had thought that the sea could command what it did,
and it wanted to flow to the shore.
So you waited ashore.
You said, “Soon it will come, it will wash the whole castle away,
and then all the ocean and towers will go, just to loop.”

They had whispered of dix when the tides were more shallow,
And they mourned the fresh rain on the sea.
You smiled, amused, by their simplistic words
And surmised of new moons, blue lagoons.

You said, “Cuegan, this world is made up so when the Moon pulls on seas, any seas,
there are things called tides. Pull yourself up on a bucket? It's so clueless. Megan! You’re daft as Cue!”

And one dix they woke by the shore and their castles,
observed a whole tower was gone.
They tasted sea but they thirsted for answers
and said, “Well, it’s time we moved on.”
And you waited and waited watched the scene fade
and said, “Tell me this end isn’t true!”
And you willed them both back to the castles again
but Time’s river had flowed somewhere new.

They went to build towers by the ocean one newpix,
and now they’re walking away.
They left all their castles
and walked for a mip
to discover the source of the sea.

They veered from the water
to climb for mip
saying “I always wanted to know things.
No, I never wanted to keep that sea view;
who’d have dreamt of a land of such molpies and beesnakes
and wowtrees and waterfalls too

If we'd sat and waited like you?"
Now who's to say who has a clue?

I think it is one of these

I'm thinking that G.L.Randall's set the location location is closer to 0°,0°, but definitely in Africa

Interestingly, based on their range, it is either one or the other, so if they say something about it's color, we have some info.

Two predications:
1) An other shows up and saves the day by putting a bullet through the Catmolpy
2) Megball get brutally slaughtered and eaten in a over 20 newpix segment of stick figure blood and dismemberment that ends in a slow fade...
2a) To LaPetite on the beach, our new protaganist, it was all a setup to establish the brutality of the world and begin our true hero's story
2b) The first frame, it was the end
3) Cueball punches the Catmolpy in the side of the head and sends it flying with his super human strength (apparently) and/or just shouts at it and scares it away
4) HAL9000 shows up and lands a spaceship on the Catmolpy

There's always a third, and sometimes a fourth, I don't even know why I both enumerating a list before I start writing it, sigh.

ETA: @mshca You don't think it looks cat-y? It looks exactly like a mountain lion to me.

But what it is? No idea. (In any case, not a molpygator or crocomolpy.)
I don't think it looks cat-y. A really big otter?

That was a joke, of course. Seriously though, especially with your comment about it looking like an otter, I was reminded of a Fossa, which happens to convinently reside in Madagascar and is a very otterish/catish molpy.

I really don't think the kittymolpy is actually a threat. Maybe it just wants to play.

Have you ever SEEN a cat play with a mouse?! That's even worse!
I wrote a book exploring the nature of identity and loss of self! And another book about babies!

Well, when I think about it... my friend Catherine did bring a bird to the house last night, and I guess she did play with it for a while... Hmm...

I could see that, although this is a somewhat fatter example than in the photo.
It's one ugly catlike creature, though...

Edit: not a cat.
