Yup. They were right.

For instance:
On NP 863, Earthling on Mars wrote:[snippety snippety]...Megan makes a deep philosophical statement in response to the butterflymolpy, followed by determining that she will go on. And then it dies! This definitely feels like foreshadowing. Very ominous foreshadowing.

The OTC is starting to get me depressed.

Yes. Sorry. =/ You're like my younger brother. He can't watch 3D movies either (though, honestly, that's not missing much. I find 3D movies to be gimmicky. The 3D doesn't improve the experience. Mostly just makes the colors darker and gives headaches).

Is molpies are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out pixels,
Their bottoms are made out of... well, also pixels!
They're bouncy, pouncy, hide-y, flighty, neat neat neat neat neat,
But the most dangerous thing about molpies: they knock Cue off his feet!"

EDIT:In case there really are any of you out there who have never seen Winnie the Pooh, here is a link to the original "Wonderful Thing About Tiggers".
(Edited again for a spelling error)

This is excellent so I have quoted it in its entirety for the newpage.

Oh and about 3D movies: I'm somewhat shortsighted in one eye so I don't think I get the full effect (actually I think my 3D distance vision is generally somewhat lacking but it's hard to be sure since I don't know whether it should feel different) and in any case does seem rather gimmicky. It certainly doesn't add much to a movie: because I get 'into' the story I don't usually notice whether or not I'm seeing stuff in 'actual' 3D except when they're highlighting it in one of those "oh look how 3D this is!" moments which is more likely to remind people that they're watching a movie than actually improve anything. Oh, the headaches, yeah it does add those.

I just started writing a short story to post here. At least I think it will be short, but it could end up quite long. I don't know when I'll finish it or if I'll finish it at all, but I have the whole story worked out in my head. I'm not going to tell you the plot yet, for that you'll just have to Wait For It.

Yup. Agree 100%. Why pay a higher ticket price for a more distracting and annoying film experience?

Oh, and thanks for the ottification bump. :) That's actually my first song here, oddly enough. I've thought of a lot of them actually in my head, but the only ottifying I've done was for my contributions to Jabber-walky.

P.S. Our speed of posting has sped up tons with all the excitement. We're burning through NPs todix.

I've been planning on expanding that page of the wiki for a while, btw, but the Outside has had lots of stress and confusion lately.

I still think it's a cat. Its profile is very leopard-esque (though it's way too small for that).

My best cat reference gives the body length of leopards as "3 ft to 6 ft 4 in (91 to 190 cm)". I'd eyeball this one to be about .75-.8q, perhaps 4-4½ feet. For the moment, I'm going with leopard.

Oh, okay. :) For some reason I expected a leopardraptor to be bigger (or is that keyboardraptor?)...

Gaah! I was really meant to get some work done today.

So can any keen observers of feline body language help us out? I'm guessing that tail doesn't look like it's in attack mode, but I'm no expert.

If it's a friendly attack, that almost raises more questions than it answers. Do they know this creature? Is it greeting them after a long-lost absence of some kind? If not, why is it so excited to see them?

I'm certainly no cat expert either, but according to this site "a happy cat holds her tail high". The tail sure is high in the last frame, but then again it might just be a result of the rapid forward motion.

Edit before posting: Ninja'd (and contradicted) by BlitzGirl.
Edit after posting: Should it perhaps be niña'd, considering the ninja's gender? ;)

Spoiler:
The Archduchess woke up feeling as if all her energy had been taken away. She slowly inspected her surroundings, without moving: in front of her, only sand; further away, the Sea. To her right, stood a creature she knew very well.

The Archduchess wrote:Why… why did you save me?

Michael was looking at the endless Sea. “So this is what the first part of not ending looks like.”

The Archduchess wrote:You shouldn't have brought me back. You should have let me die alone.

Michael replied by turning his head to their left. Some dozens of meters away, closer to the shore, a little child tried unsuccessfully to stop the Sea from crumbling her sandcastle.

Michael wrote:You can change your appearance if you want to. It's just a matter of will.

The statement made the Archduchess look at her hands. Or actually, at her paws. They were just like Michael's; in fact, she looked identical to him. She froze in shock until she realized what had happened: in order to reconstruct her original body, he would have to considers parts of her body that human customs considered private; in order to comply with these customs, he just left the actual transformation to her.

Of course, there was another possibility, and considering his gesture, it was the most likely one.

She got up. The cells on the edge of her body slowly started to disconnect from each other and spin around her center. As she moved closer to the shore, more and more cells joined the spinning dance, forming a cloud. The cells then started to reorganize themselves in a new shape, not of a dragon, but of a human adolescent, maybe just a few years older than the child.

The Archduchess remembered those old, almost forgotten times, when she learned that her family was the more evil of evils, and swore to destroy them all, as well as herself, to make the world a better place. She recalled the day she found a bridge to that world, and the experiments she made to determine the difference in passing of time between this world and hers. She recollected when she brought there the only innocent in her family.

On her world, almost sixty years had passed. On this, only a half dozen hours.

The Archduchess wrote:Aurore?

The little girl turned her face. She knew that voice.

Little Beret Girl wrote:Sis Claire!

The Archduchess had never expected living to see her sister again. She had never expected to have a future.

She turned to Michael to thank him, but he wasn't there anymore.

I for one believe this is still attack-version molpycat (as just supported by BlitzGirl's attack pic), but, to further the hypothetical of it being a "nice attack" so to speak, it doesn't necessarily need to know them. It could be a domesticated feline of the former inhabitants and is merely happy to see ANY humans return. I don't think they have ever been in a singular place long enough to have once kept a pet (at least not in the world they find themselves in), nor does it seem like they'd abandon it if they did. If this was THEIR pet, they'd have brought it with them intentionally on the journey.

EDIT: btw, that YouTube clip is awesome. That story is such a cool one if you ever get to see the whole one and not just that part.

In Svithjod, there stands a rock. It is 100 miles high and 100 miles wide. Once every 1000 years a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak. One time, I changed just the last sentence of this signature, and lots of you noticed. Image

I'm certainly no cat expert either, but according to this site "a happy cat holds her tail high". The tail sure is high in the last frame, but then again it might just be a result of the rapid forward motion.

Edit before posting: Ninja'd (and contradicted) by BlitzGirl.
Edit after posting: Should it perhaps be niña'd, considering the ninja's gender? ;)

I don't know that you were contradicted. Cats are happy when they get a fresh meal, right?

Still nowhere near catching up, but just wanted to time-jump forward to say yeah, I noticed that nose 39 hours ago, and I've been waiting for its reappearance ever since. I must admit, I was kind of expecting it to be a stick-figure human who was associated with the building, but the nose appearance didn't mesh well with that hypothesis.

KerMann! You're back! You haven't posted since before I joined the thread!

Also, I go away for three newpix and the giant cat we've been predicting over and over suddenly appears and attacks Cueball‽
