Guess he decided Tank Girl was too deus ex machina.

It looks to me like a piece of Megan's head (at the top) and a piece of Cueball's head (at the bottom)... possibly from the pix where Megan was in the tree (though if so, the branch is thicker than I remember).

Yes and no. I think he has most of it story-boarded at this point, but he probably writes it in batches as it goes.

The interesting thing is that the original mustard was a product of how he was drawing the terrain. That doesn't seem to be the case here. So what was this mustard? Was it part of another scene? Does GLR draw scenes next to each other like panel comics and then crop them or something? Does he copy and past one image onto the next and then edit it, was this a c&p error? We may never know, but we can certainly speculate.

The weirdest part of the mastard, though, is that it seemed to be going into the scene but without affecting the ground below where it was. If it really was another scene or something butting in then I would expect the ground below it to also be affected... but it wasn't...

The original mustard was called mustard because it was mustard-colored. However, this isn't; it's dark and pointy. I propose we call it chives.

How is it possible for an artist to portray a world in such detail that a feral cat can be spotted lurking in the middle of a patch of bushes; that said cat's ears can be seen to lie flat when attacked; that a tiny flag on a tiny sandcastle is knocked slightly askew in the skirmish, but a blade of grass close to the victim's head doesn't so much as quiver; and yet the artist somehow carelessly slips a GIANT ARMOURED GIR-AGON into the edge of the frame???

Because he makes all those subtle changes by copying and pasting (I'm guessing) and he's so focused on the details he doesn't realize the mustard in the big picture. Also, this may be toward the end of a batch, and he may have been tired.

Well, with a flying trip through the BxkAxn I found no frame that resembled the mustardmegballs at all, not tree-climbing, not even back in the castle scaffolding. So I think it must have been a glimpse into the future, like the one flag that appeared prematurely during the very first zoom.

But I can't stay up to find out. I'm so coma-deprived right now, I can't sleep without help. Coma well, fellow waiters; may your mustard stay safely in jars. Good night, Mrs. MobTeeseboose, wherever you are!

Stick figures have one-dimensional bodies. So if you fell on your back, the back pack would simply slice in two, and be above him.

Or maybe as he fell, it slid to the side. Possibly he even did it on purpose, to use as a shield.

The speed of removal of the mustard1 makes me think that the GLR probably wanted to see what the OTT made of this particular turn of events even if he does not regularly read the OTT.

Incidentally: interesting that raptorcats do not have stick figure bodies. Makes it much more menacing by comparison, though.

1: I think by now this is a generic term for these retconned pixels, and not just the original mustard.

Also on the topic of TV I just stumbled across this sentence describing a new show: "Imagine going for a jog in the park and having to double-time it once you realize you’re being chased by a pack of velociraptors." So yeah, it's all related.

That. Was. Amazing. I watched it at least 5 times in a row, and now I hurt from laughing so hard. This was just what I needed in the midst of such frightening newpix.

At first I was all : D that I correctly identified the catmolpy back on newpage 885, but now I'm just D: I hope they'll be ok. I agree that I don't think Randall would kill off either of his major characters. Although.. comic contained bobcat, A--

Goodbye. I can no longer participate in this thread. I've been dealt with unjustly and just got an unsatisfactory answer to my concerns from Kieryn. I do not intend to contribute any further.

My case is that I had the ONG for something like five minutes. I was waiting for Kieryn to remove his. then this happened. He had a post immediately after mine for a considerable time with the newpic.

I also got unsatisfactory, even patronizing responses from some of you also.

It was fun until it wasn't. Yes, it is a small thing, but I thought I had earned some respect.

Yes. Megan going to heaven first, and Cueball following. Wait - they were descending - I guess St. Peter rejected them!
