none could subdue.

Dust from their coconuts

clear to the sea.

But something was mustard. There
shouldn't be water just

what could that be?

Water surrounds them ex-

Turning around is the
incontrovertible

"Back whence we came but we'll

Soon they were clear and the

Up through the valley they

Mix it with butter.
Run far away. Don't delay.
Boom-de-yada boom!

This is intriguing.
Antibutter has power.
Seaish power wins.

BlitzGirl makes the call:
Fetch the Book of Armaments!
The tome is brought out.

Glorious music!
First Cleric will be jealous.
He must deal with it.

Read from the right page:

Free delivery.

Who is its steward?
Aluisio comes forth.
His name didn't fit.

First, hollow butter

Next, antibutter
wrapped and placed inside the ball
How big will it boom?

Load up the bucket.
Pull with seaish strength and might.
Release for Glory.

An arc so pretty.
Look - the raptor flying past
won't know what hit it.

Heavenly choir,
a brilliant flash splits the night.
This tao is right, now.

Rapidly scrapidly

Off in the distance the

It's certain nobody's bored.
Everyone is in accord.
This is an area that has not been explored.

Safe on a high ledge

Watch the stars go by.

Glowing horizon.

The sea has risen.
They are safe for the moment.
Not for much longer.

A short report from the past. (NP 783 of 1346)

In spite of many Outside distractions, I am still there.
A few Xips ago, I noticed a quote in a sig, alledgedly from GLR Himself, with a style none too improbable. Out of curiosity, I checked the blag, read the article, and understood. So Time has finally come to an end, eh ? Well, that won't stop me from reading it all, I'm already in too deep, my sanity left faaaaaaar behind.
Nevertheless, that knowledge has considerably diminished my interest in signposting : I don't want the OTT to become a ghost thread, filled with naught but whispered echoes of pages long gone.

Anyway, since I'm posting, might as well make a short summary.

Cuegan venture further into the mountains, encounter Corrine the snake (aha ! that's who Corrine is ^^), followed by chirping molpies.
Discussion is on par with the usual OTT standards (chaotic fun), parts of the OTC are being claimed for stewardship, and it seems we are now a tribe in a cave
More excellent works of art have been posted, and molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy molpy ...

So that I didn't have to change the stuff about video frames, the OTThercomic refers to this video mentioned in one of the articles/blogs.

Yes, heresy. And not because I didn't think of it...

[edit: spoilered for those who don't want to know ahead of Time what it's about.]
Anyhow, here it is:

Code: Select all

I eat sandcastle cake to get me inspired
Cos the beach is too far and I'm feeling so tired
My cable is out so I drive to a café
The food isn't good but the wifi is okay

I load the OTC page but the forum has no link
So I Google the OTT which is easier I think
I register and login cos I want to join the fun
But cannot post the newpic cos my post count's less than one

But I quote somebody who quotes somebody who quotes somebody who quotes
I quote somebody who quotes somebody who quotes somebody who quotes

I shout ONG when I post it
I shout ONG when I post it

Three newpix later my postcount looks hotter
My firstpost was bumped by a ketchupping OTTer
Tried to ONG once again but was beat by a ninja
But I cannot complain or I'll look like a whinger!

Some new NewData gets posted and I try to see my name
But my dozen posts are hidden by the folks with much more fame
I request to join the hat queue once I pick an avatar
Sadly while I'm thus distracted I don't see the shooting star

But I quote somebody who quotes somebody who quotes somebody who quotes

BlitzGirl says "Mome!", the post-queue says "Well,
you got pushed up from goat, but no one can tell."
Mix with orthodox, heretics, lurkers,
Those who post ev'ry dip, the wixend workers
I wanna be an OTTer known by ev'ry one
But the thread is old as Time and I've just begun
I know where to go to grow community
Just gotta add stuff to the Time Wiki
Hey HES, please don't nuke the stuff by me!
"Uh noob, tell me who you're meant to be?"
I'm a Time Waiter, from the OTT
Do I have to draw a molpy to prove that I'm me?
"Oh I've seen you around, maybe once or twice."
Can my edits be unnuked? "Uh, sorry, no dice."

But I quote somebody who quotes somebody who quotes somebody who quotes

It's probably more fun if you know what the song sounds like, although I didn't do the whole song.

Or I could ask you all to dance

Waiting for the hint of a change

If Randall and Time decide
That they both are satisfied
Colorize the frames as memorial shrines
If there's no one beside you when they disembark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

In an epic Blitz, I almost had called it quits
Sigcouragement made me strong, by the posters ahead
I kept my aim, as I saw that frame
This is The End it said,
And I lowered my head

If Randall and Time decide
That they both are satisfied
Colorize the frames as memorial shrines
If there's no one beside you when they disembark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me
have seen everything to see
From beaches to Chateau d'If
Everyone but you and me

has molpied down. The time for sleep is now
But it's nothing to cry about
Cause we'll all post random ONGs
To an OTTified song

If Randall and Time decide
That they both are satisfied
Colorize the frames as memorial shrines
If there's no one beside you when they disembark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

swiftly they covered gar-
gantuan distances
over the land.

Meanwhile they pondered the
lexicographical
roots of the language so
they'd understand

those who were riding with
BlitzGirl. Through gesture and
pantomime both of them
broadly conveyed

the life-or-death struggle their
family was facing sur-
rounded by water they
couldn't evade.

Coconuts thundering,
all of the clerecy,
heralds and scribes and the
timewaiters too

rode as the sun over-
head passed the zenith. Their
drive was a spirit that
none could subdue.

Dust from their coconuts
rose up behind them - a
cloud that was visible
clear to the sea.

But something was mustard. There
shouldn't be water just
yet, but in front of them
what could that be?

Water surrounds them ex-
cept for behind and the
impracticality
dawns with a lurch.

Turning around is the
incontrovertible
way to continue and
still save the Church.

"Back whence we came but we'll
follow this inlet!" said
BlitzGirl and everyone
followed her lead.

Soon they were clear and the
quest could continue, the
clerecy making a
seaish stampede.

Up through the valley they
raced as the sun slowly
made its way westward and
sank in the sky.

Colors were gracing the
heavens, and soon to the
daylight they all would be
saying goodbye.

Onward they galloped with
coconuts clomping but
something was blocking their
path up ahead.

Only by ones could they
pass through the blockage.
This wasn't going to work
very well, as darkness fell.

Does anybody know how to rappel?
Maybe we should get a motel?
This was not something anybody could fortell.

BlitzGirl ponders much:
One by one takes far too long.
Here we cannot run.

This tao is not right.
This tao is the only tao.
We must make it right.

If we fight the sea
we must do it seaishly.
What would the Pope do?

fhorn comes to front.
Could you use antibutter?
I do not have much.

Mix it with butter.
Run far away. Don't delay.
Boom-de-yada boom!

This is intriguing.
Antibutter has power.
Seaish power wins.

BlitzGirl makes the call:
Fetch the Book of Armaments!
The tome is brought out.

Glorious music!
First Cleric will be jealous.
He must deal with it.

Read from the right page:
Tiny trebuchet of Tim.
Nice delivery.

Who is its steward?
Aluisio comes forth.
His name didn't fit.

First, hollow butter
from the Buttermongery
of Angelastic.

Next, antibutter
wrapped and placed inside the ball
How big will it boom?

Load up the bucket.
Pull with seaish strength and might.
Release for Glory.

An arc so pretty.
Look - the raptor flying past
won't know what hit it.

Heavenly choir,
a brilliant flash splits the night.
This tao is right, now.

Rapidly scrapidly
back on the coconuts,
pink boa flapping is
leading the way.

Time can't be wasted. The
darkness approaches but
so does the sea at the
end of the day.

Sunlight has faded but
still they press onwards. The
source of the megaca-
caphony's near.

Off in the distance the
mist from the rapids gives
everyone chances to
conquer their fear.

Rising, the moon casts its
light on the waterfall.
Spirituality
has its reward.

This is the largest gar-
gantuan cateract
anyone's witnessed. It
can't be ignored.

It's certain nobody's bored.
Everyone is in accord.
This is an area that has not been explored.

Safe on a high ledge
coma in shifts through the night.
Watch the stars go by.

Glowing horizon.
Mist catches the rising sun.
Dangerous beauty.

The sea has risen.
They are safe for the moment.
Not for much longer.

There's nothing cooler than time dubbed over with a poorly pronounced Rosetta's voice explaining each frame in a droning monotone. 'okay, we're almost at the abandoned shack, separate Megan's backpack, but watch out, there's a raptorcat about...'
The comic was far easier to OTTify than the title text.

Just because it's sentient doesn't mean it's smarter than you. Unless it's a soufflé, those things will rule the world some day.

Exactly. Greytext would be doubletracked so that the second word is heard in the background.

Excellent idea by Latent22 that I missed earlier...thanks to jeffallen55 for BlindPosting...you can make it!! You're almost in the present!! Maybe this would be the best and/or easiest way to replicate Rosetta's 'accent' (or lack of perfect English), instead of random noise and over-layering the speech...?

We could spend hours making sense of the Librarian's speech, but for the musical, the punters need to do it in real time. Don't obfuscate it.
