Good guess, but incorrect - the OSH was cropped directly from the newpix, and is actual size.

Spoiler:
  • Some purposeful arrangement was attempted, but mostly not.
  • "Hilited" phrases are not necessarily intentional.
  • Unlike the original, some phrases are unreadable without viewing the fullsize version.
  • Some adjacent phrases compliment each other, others may not.
  • All spelling retained as is.
  • I culled the "why" questions from needle_pulled_thing.txt
  • I started this soon after the release, ideas, culling, implementation (longest part).
  • This was a difficult project. No auto-kerning or vertical (editable) text in GIMP, grr!
  • I relearned what a muntjac was.
  • Two xkcd fonts were used.
  • One question was left off due to space issues: "Why me?"

P.S. To BlitzGirl. I hope you didn't think I was denigrating your work on your version. I thought it was neat. This version took way too much time.

I really wished Cueball and Megan had encountered some of the hill people (perhaps from afar), and been forced to go around them.

I would have liked to have seen Cueball staring at the moon... Then change into an Oozaru and rampage through the Mediterranean valley, squashing the puny hill people and blasting the castle.

Also, I would like to know what was blocking the Strait of Gibralter.

In January 2038, Randall Munroe releases a sequel to Time, while simultaneously replaying the frames from the latter.
The OTT is promptly revived.
Spoiler:

Extreme days are back again
Extreme frames I didn't know
Everything old is new again
Everything they'd grown
--- (x8)
Comfy basements, pope in poise
Molpy armies coming through
Extreme worlds alone
Did you ever think they can

I've been waiting just for this
They dedicated their lives to this

Oh Randall, oh Randall
Bring it from the past, from the past
Hey Randall, hey Randall
It will be retold, will be retold
Oh Randall, oh Randall
Give us something new, something new
Oh Randall, oh Randall
Like you always do, always do

Extreme songs that told me
They helped me down every night
That we just had to wait
That moment would see daylight
I waited for days and waited for years
And waited worlds, and always have been
Waiting just for it
And now it payed off

I had to close down everything
I had to close down my mind
Too many things tempting me
Not many places I could hide
I've seen so much from so many elders
So many colors, so many versions
Now it's going to be real
And I can't even believe

I've been waiting just for this
I've dedicated my life to this

Oh Randall, oh Randall
Bring it from the past, from the past
Hey Randall, hey Randall
It will be retold, will be retold
Oh Randall, oh Randall
Give us something new, something new
Oh Randall, oh Randall
Like you always do, always do

I disagree, I think it would have been an excellent addition and would have helped the squished feeling at the end of the story. Right when they meet with the first part of the group and Cueball says his line about something being on the ocean, it could have cut to the past, with LaPetite dragging on her flotation devices and beginning to deconstruct/salvage the scaffolding. This would make the Run build-up reach a nice climax on meeting the tribe, followed by relaxing into LaPetite working studiously but slowly once again. Then as the water begins to rise faster and faster, the pressure is on once again. This kind of a buildup would have carried through great to a final climax of saving Cuegan and the forty (37?), riding out the flood, and landing safely at the conclusion.

eta: the only narrative hiccup then would be finding the rest of the 40 on their other boat and saving them too. It just became too rainbows and sunshine. Don't worry readers, everything's going to work out, because I want it to, and I need to wrap things up, so yeah, they already have a boat and stuff. Yay!!! Who wants ice cream! (That was rather heretical wasn't it?)

The passage of time leading up the the final landing could have also been played out better. I think a pan up and then watching the sky in time lapse for a while would have worked great. It also wouldn't be too much work, since the sky could be draw once and then just rotated around and around, maybe adjusting the exactly location of the sun slightly. In many ways the fading was a better ending than what we got, because you could feel it. A sky view of time passing before those last few frames would have given us a clue as to what was coming...

For Mome: For the issue of timing, I would have loved it to have ended after many nights (shown) instead of one. So, like, 20 or 30 night and day shots, with the water ever subtley rising, then they land. It would have given us the tension we needed to really want them to find land and maybe being happy that they left.
Also: More of Rosetta, actually outside of the castle. To see her in a normal day or trying to survive the flood and actually being worried.

Does Beanette look a bit...different to anyone else this beanONG?

For decree: I wish we had seen the chirpies flying past in one of the final newpix. Just to know they were okay.

There was a flutterbee in my house a couple dix ago! It was on the landing, and occasionally fluttered around but mostly just stayed landed upside down on the beam. It had very flutterbeewingish flutterbeewings! But it disappeared yesterday, someone must've let it out...

Treeish! I hope it made it out okay.

I would have liked to see a flutterbee twirling through the trees of the Forty's landing spot. :)
