There's a bug in your picture. No, literally  . There are no vertebrates w/ 6 limbs -- unless the wings are just repurposed ear flaps

Too true - my policy on dragons is that if they are to be realistic (i.e. sci fi) and have 6 limbs then they must not be Terran vertebrates, ergo they are alien (à la Dragonriders of Pern) or have only 4 limbs (i.e. are wyverns). But this is closer to fantasy (where anything goes) and, in addition, a synthetic dragon, so even if strict scientific guidelines were in place, one could excuse it with genetic engineering.

On the subject of the styling for the castle ONGer game: I'd like to mock up some icons, if you don't mind - the boost buttons could use some pizzazz (and padding, yeesh); It wouldn't be anything too complicated, just white silhouettes in the xkcd style. And, I suppose, if you'd like assistance with the CSS, I'm somewhat competent - I designed a portal map database and a personal portfolio site (shameless plugs :B) though I'd need somewhat convenient access to the current version of things (like I said before - put it on GitHub, then we can ALL contribute!)

I wanted to do something big for 1000 posts...but I did that for 888 already (and 997, ha), and I feel like it's a more personal landmark. So I'll gush about the community instead.

People here are amazing. This is, without a doubt, the best internet community I have ever participated in, bar none. You're all thoughtful, intelligent, creative, brilliant people who make and do amazing things and it continuously astounds me that I get to be a part of this.
Even more so than when the comic was running, you're all still going strong, making spinoffs and remixes and uncountable other things and it boggles my mind that we've all stuck around to continue participating, and I love it.
No post here is taken for granted, either. A person's absence is sorely noted despite the wide and diverse community, and that is a beautiful thing. On the internet it's usually so easy to drop out of something and disappear, but not this place - we've got a whole basement for those people :D
If I ever leave, it will only be because there's no one else left. I may not post as much as some, but I've been here since pretty much the beginning and I have no intention of leaving. AP tests be damned, I can study when I'm done ketchupping.
So, thank you all. Thanks for being awesome and being here. Thanks for making over 1400 pages of thread where I can post over 1000 times and not feel like I've spammed at all because every single one was in response to something brilliant or my humble offerings to this potpourri of awesome.

That is all. Aluisio, I'll have your finalized lineart ready in a few hours, probably. ED, just let me know if you're interested in getting any help with the style/graphics for Castle Clicker.

Just to make a little thing clear
When I said "Damn the APs" back there
I do care about grades
But I'm a jack of all trades
And to study's not much of an affair

(In other, non-limerick words, I am usually adequately prepared by the practice they have us do in-school, and don't find myself needing much study time outside of classes. I have a 4.0 gpa as of the end of last year, which I would be reluctant to sacrifice, but it wouldn't be necessary to give up the time I spend on this thread to maintain it)

And thanks for the cakes, everyone! Mmm, delicious.

I used to be like that, and therefore didn't (slash couldn't) prepare properly when exams suddenly got difficult. As a result I've finished college and university with lower grades than I should have... so, a word to the wise: Don't get complacent.

Thankfully missing out on my first choice Uni has sort of worked out for me, but getting a job at the end of this is going to be mustardful.

BG, what have you done to me?

Much as I'd like to contradict that, it's probably the same hubris speaking again, so I'll bear it well in mind for the future. That being said, it's not that I don't know how to study, but haven't gotten the right combination of exams to convince me to spend more than an hour of study on any given night.

I had the same experience as HES. Just something to keep in mind when you head off to college...

I am, of course, referring to HES's college experience, not his limerick addiction. I can stop anytime I...

Yeah, the level of work necessary to excel in high school is rather minimal and what's being taught is relatively easy to understand. That changes in college. Since you decide what to take, you can take on much more challenging subject matter and/or give yourself a course load that's equivalent to multiple full time jobs. Just be aware of both the time and brainpower demands. You may have the time to take three core engineering classes, differential equations and an advanced tech elective in one semester, but your brain might be jelly by the fifth week (unfortunately, I know this from experience).

Anyways, good luck and don't worry too much about grades. It's better to learn the subject and get a C than get an A and forget everything the week after the test. Nobody cares what your GPA is once you graduate. They might consider it when you apply for your first job out of school, but a simple recommendation will carry a lot more weight.

On the other hand going to grad school
Can be difficult if you don't follow this rule
Make use of study aids
And aim for good grades
That'll show your professors you're no fool

I'm falling farther behind. Of course it doesn't help that in my blitz I check for each ottification I come across whether it has been added to the Time wiki, and in a surprising amount of instances that hasn't been the case, so I end up spending more time on updating the wiki than actually reading up on the OTT, and get sidetracked making further improvements to formatting, cleaning up inconsistencies and so on.

What also doesn't help is when I end up writing a song ottification myself. But now that it's finished, I might as well post it right now for all of you to enjoy. I'll probably turn to schizoblitzing a bit because I really don't want to wait for weeks to see if there are any comments. :)

Ketching Up Is Hard To Do

Spoiler:
Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Ketching up is hard to do

Can't let the present get away from me
Gotta keep up with the OTT
Read each post right when it's new
'Cause ketching up is hard to do

I'm on the forum half the night
And update the wiki on the side
Thread grows faster than I read it through
Oh, ketching up is hard to do

I tell you, ketching up is hard to do
You can sure believe me it's true
Even now, long after "The End"
Instead of ketching up I'll have to go to blitzing mode again

No, BlitzGirl, I won't say goodbye
You'd send me to the basement if I tried
Somehow I've gotta see this through
But ketching up is hard to do

I tell you, ketching up is hard to do
You can sure believe me it's true
Even now, long after "The End"
Instead of reading all I fear I'll have to skim and skip again

No, BlitzGirl, I won't say goodbye
You'd send me to the basement if I tried
Can you teach me how to see this through
'Cause ketching up is hard to do

Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Boom de yada boom yada boom dam dam
Ketching up is hard to do

Edit: It's a bad habit, but I just can't resist making small changes to the lyrics even after I've already posted them.
Edit 2: Oops, forgot something.
Edit 3: And I've been missing the obvious. Fixed.
