Ah, our old friend Mr. Boson! Welcome back, sir, and thanks for giving us all mass!

This sounds like part of the Acts of the Clerics.

All the same, welcome back, higgs-boson !
(while Ive got my tools to repair the far-side wall, might as well fix the basement door and make it only openable from inside)
(or remove the door altogether and replace it by a curtain ?)

As for the decree, I plan on doing absolutely nothing this wip-end

Hello everymolpy!

I'm still lurking here and keeping things running as the Outside permits. I updated my statistics and am glad to announce that consistent with Earthlings findings the usercount just before the first yip of Time is slightly up. The diversity rating is very volatile but on average not far below as it was through Time - a fact I explain with everybody being busy with preparing some thing or the other for the OTTscars (which I sadly missed in the first round of voting though I am very honoured having been nominated :D). I expect a sharp peak in a few dips.

For the decree: I may be doing some work on the Database after mips of neglect.

I wish everymolpy a wowterfull wipend.

Ooh, I wasn't aware of that, Neil. Hope you're ok. Though I guess you're already dead so it can't be too bad...

For decree: I'm going to a gig at the other side of the county, and it'll be the longest I've ever driven by myself. I'm not playing, just watching, but it is at a venue I played at two mips ago. One of the bands playing is one I just released a cover of.

I'm definitely considering making some Pi todip, though I have to say I'm rather on the side of the ταυers: why go halfway around the unit circle when you can go all the way? Might have to wait for June 28 (it already passed, on February 6, for non-US-date-formatters. For those using ISO 8601, you'll have to wait for the year 6282) to make some lovely Apple ταυ.

ETA: Oh, and for my own decree: I'll be posting in the OTT! This wipend shall not be a weepend on my watch :x

That sounds like a corrupted file in your user profile, taixzo. Can anyone else or a guest account log in?

And for decree: I'm doing a bunch of outside stuff of varying degrees of molpishness this wipend. Most molpish is that I'm going to a spring training game and least is that I have to poison a forest of raptorplants that have invaded my yard.

Have you run chkdsk? Part of your hard drive (containing important user account information) may have become corrupted.

Those disk utilities only find file system corruption. It wouldn't catch a file that's just missing or incorrect. I know nothing of OSX so I don't know how likely it is for that sort of thing to occur, but if it is user account related maybe this article will help:

Well, you're the user, so just stop being so corrupt!

This wipend I'm going to a molpish bellydance festival in the Bay Area to perform with my fellow mermaids. We're staying overnight, so there *may* be a wee bit of drinking later in the evening, which may or may not end up with us stealing a luggage cart and riding it through the hallways.

And in fact, I'm going to succumb to the Outside until next wip. But never fear, I shall return. To prove it, I present this ottification of "I'll Be Back" by the Rutles Beatles:

Spoiler:
You know if the Outside calls, I'll go
But I'll be back again.
That's why I have never said goodbye
To all of you, my friends.

I love this thread
I love the things you post here
Yes, all things you post here
oh ho, oh ho, oh

You know having Outside things to do
Sometimes carries us away.
In Time I will try to show that I'm
Gonna come back straightaway.

I thought that I had more free time
And I could stay here in the now
Keep up with you somehow
But I got a big surprise
Oh ho, oh ho, oh

You, Outside, gave me things to do
And it breaks my heart again
In time I will try to show that I'm
Gonna be back here somewhen.

I have go but I hate to leave you,
You know I hate to leave you , oh ho, oh ho, oh

You, Outside, take me and I'll go
But I'll be back again.

Good luck with the leg, Neil. Have fun at the gig, yappo. Nice to see ya, karhell and Scissitor too! Oh, I'm looking for the list of users with numbers of posts. I don't know if it's been updated, and I don't remember where it is. Is it on your site, Scissitor, and I'm just not seeing it?

And with that, adios, amoebas!

I'll be seeking out Heretical Cookies... It appears that I'm almost out of time to acquire my annual supply of Thin Mints.
I'm sure there will be walks with the Wolpies, and I should probably make progress on certain government paperwork.

And in fact, I'm going to succumb to the Outside until next wip. But never fear, I shall return. To prove it, I present this ottification of "I'll Be Back" by the Rutles Beatles:

Sounds like a molpish time! Don't do anything you'll regret too much ;) See you around!

Gosh Junebug, that was sweet. Love the Beatles! We should ottify more Beatles songs!

For Pope, I'm opening my next show (The Clean House). I did the lighting for that, so now I get to sit back and watch.

Could be. I have a theory.
Because of some mustard the fora showed the URL of your previous avatar. Such things were happening before. There is a S&FI otherthread about it. Normally when trying to download the earlier avatar there was a 404. I was testing this when I started my avatar changes before implementing avatar archiving. But recently something changed. Now when trying to download an old avatar the fora sends the new one (but not always - apparently. will have to do some tests) I noticed this while looking at old bothasar_s's reports There were new avatars visible instead of no image. (he doesn't update old reports). I think that bothasar_t was presented the old URL for some reason an when he tried to download it the fora sent the new avatar with the old timestamp.

taixzo wrote:36GB??! Where do you keep it all, the Moon?

That's the diskspace of my usual timeaccessor. There are other ones too.
Most of the time I don't buy new computers. I wait until someone else buys a new computer. And when I'm at the right place at the right time, I get the old one. The same rule applies to phones, otherstuff, etc. Almost like the Cueganites and the Hillpeople.
My current list of computers:
Spoiler:
1. PC, ~900MHz, 512MB ram, 20+16GB HD, 3.5" FDD, 5.25" FDD, CDROM, DVDROM, Win98SE, FreeDOS1.1, WinXPpro.
2. lapleopard PC, 1400MHz, 1GB ram, 36GB HD, 3.5" FDD, WinXPpro.
3. PC, Compaq 386/20e, 386, 20MHz, 8MB ram, 110MB HD, 3.5" FDD MSDOS5.0, Win3.11.
4. Amiga 500 (almost +), 68000, ~7MHz, 2MB chip ram 8MB fast ram, ~1GB HD, 3.5" FDD(880kB)x2, WB1.3.3, WB3.1.
5. Amiga 500, 68000, ~7MHz, 512kB chip ram 512kB slow ram, no HD, 3.5" FDD(880kB), WB1.3.3.
6. 1190.bicyclesonthemoon.dnsd.info server, IBM a21m lapleopard PC , PentiumIII, 747MHz, 512MB ram, 28GB HD, 3.5" FDD, CDROM, Debian4.6.3-14
7. the replacement for the server. I don't remember - it's new. But 232GB HD.
And there are two 486 boards in boxes.
And and an incomplete, mustarded, PentiumIII computer lying around.

The pope image comes from a frame of my film "Wujaszek Naukowiec: Ziemia jest płaska" (Uncle Scienceman: the Earth is flat). I haven't made english subtitles for it yet. It will be difficult to translate. The response to this film was a big surprise for me. Even though in the film it's very obvious that nothing in it is serious at all, there were people who took this film seriously. I even got emails from a girl who asked me where she can find the photos I was talking about in the film because she is desperately looking for evidence that the Earth is flat .

My first ninjatime. But not really. They solved everything. I only solved the last part. I saw the google docs. The mapping was alredy found out. But the sudoku solving was at the beginning. I noticed an error in the beginning of sudoku solving and corrected it. I thought that it would be much easier if the letters in the answer were automatically mapped from the sudoku. I didn't want to break anything so I did it locally instead of in googledocs. I noticed that it makes solving much faster. I almost solved it. I looked at googledocs. No progress. Then I went to eat something. I came back and solved it. I looked at googledocs. They had already finished. I posted anyway.

yes I meant to say the ladder is melting or something like it.

Drabina topi:
It can either mean "the ladder melts [something]", but what does the ladder melt?
or "the ladder drowns [someone]", evil ladder.

Lasery są na rekiny:
You tried to say "lasers are on the sharks" or something like that?
But with the forms you used it's more like:
"The lasers are [supposed] to be used on/against the sharks."
or maybe even:
"The lasers are powered by sharks."
depending on the context.

"Na" generally means "on", but sometimes . . .
