Postby ChronosDragon » Mon Nov 17, 2014 5:56 am UTC

Ooh, is this a revisit of t1i? Awesome! I wasn't paying much attention the first Time around, but then, I might not be able to this Time either. *mumble ch*rpin college m*stard grumble*

I encountered some strange health m*stard today where the contents of my stomach abruptly decided they'd rather be outside — very heretical of them. It didn't seem to be in response to anything; I didn't eat anything too strange, and I'm not otherwise feeling very ill. Well, the latter part remains to be contested, but is accurate as of the current time. I'm hoping it was temporary m*stard, in any case, as I have some things I would rather like to get done tomorrow.

Molpy onward.

For decree, I used the randompix feature on mscha's viewer and got m2842:
Spoiler:
Image
I wasn't in the Present for that Time, so I'm not sure if this got discussed, but it seems like the characters are transparent in this scene. We can clearly see the doorway(?) through their bodies and bags. This does not happen with any other scenery they pass in front of, such as trees. Either GLR was not consistent with their solidarity, or perhaps those are not doorways at all. Maybe they are shadows being cast upon the hallway in the direction of the characters.

I'm not sure. Transparency seems a feature of ghosts. Maybe Cuegan were dead before they entered the castle. They actually died in the raptorcat attack, and from that point forward all of their interactions are with other spirits lurking in these old places. The Forty also died in the Flood, and it is the mission of Cuegan to escort them on to "what comes next," i.e., the afterlife. C'mon, let's see what's through here!

I think it's interesting and relevant for two reasons: 1. it may illuminate some of the issues that online communities need to address to achieve sustainability and 2. It may help some folks who visit Germany.

As a Dutchman: That problem is real. The biggest problem for me is that the Netherlands seem to be changing from "direct" to "polite", at least in my area. I never was any good in finding the layers behind words, but putting them there while saying something different makes me feel about as dirty as I imagine taking a bath in sewage would feel. It's a short term solution that costs a lot of energy. If it is codified then it is also useless, because people will know what you mean anyway. If the code tells them it was insulting then it will insult them.

For decree, I was scanning through the list of newpix and I saw a "difference" that I don't think I've noticed before. In the raptorcattishness of the raptorcat attack, I don't know if it was commented upon. In m2226, it's quite subtle:

Image

If you look at the original newpix, Lucky's ear is laid flat against the back of her head, much like an angry cat's:
Spoiler:
Image
In the adjusted version, the one I remember, Lucky's ear is pricked upright:
Spoiler:
Image

It must have been changed quite soon after the newpix's release, because I don't remember the flat-eared frame at all, and we were doing a seaish amount of ENHANCEment on Lucky back then. Maybe it was to clarify the silhouette and make it look more feline. There are also a couple of other difference adjustments nearby that change Lucky's tail a bit. Maybe the changes were just to show "hey, this is a keyboard in the bushes, not an amorphous black blob."

They're in my machine, but not all the time. For instance, right now I can quote. Apparently Portland has an "Ugly Sweater Pox" where people create ugly holiday sweaters for the statues downtown. The sweaters apparently last for maybe a week, by which point they've all been taken by homeless people.

Iron SeaWolpy just released a silly little video of us doing some acapella metal while driving to a gig. Most of it is not RELATED at all, but just wait till the very e*d and it becomes extremely so.
OTTscars results Pt. 2 coming... eventually, but not from me. Seeking writer.

Gah! Epilogue m*stard. It's likely due to the extended xkcd image server m*stard that's making the epilogue Time frames inaccessible.

Yeah, the epilogue's been a bit mustardy ever since "???/Landing" appeared.

...I was going to say "Landing" wasn't loading for me either, but as I wrote this post something changed and both it and the epilogue are working for me again. Image Ch*rpin' mustard.

First day of WFFS completed. I liked it, except for the part where we all hid in the hallway due to raptorishly spinning air. Fortunately I had my lunch with me.

That sounds more exciting than the first day of my HFFS. I almost met Boris Johnson, but the almost part almosts it.
