long time no ong!

'Spaaaaaaaace' The Philae lander is quoting Portal 2! It's probably been waiting a long time for a chance to do that.

I've had a few refreshes where the image shows up now, so maybe something got fixed or is being fixed.

Holy chirp it's spamjam! Hello!

Edit: It's too bad this happened at a quiet time for the fora. If it was a Friday afternoon this place would be hoppin'.
Edits: Sigh. Was waiting for somebody else to post and this picture got skipped, so I'm shoving it in here:

Did anyone notice the JavaScript?
Yes, just, effin' yes. Same thought, except not Time 2 (as I peeked at the comic url and it says "landing"). *phew* (A five minutes interval Time would literally kill me. Literally.)

When you go up against a full-fledged member of the OTT, you're bound to get ninja'd on an ONG. But, it's possible to be first. :)

My suggestion for protocol is that the most recently updated name be put in the title (the number gives a consistency) with all "Formerly ___" listed either in the title (if there's enough room) or at the top of the OP.

Same with the title text.

I'm just going to say it for the sake of accuracy:
Randall got the "Concert" thing wrong. The mentioned experiment is called COmet Nucleus Sounding Experiment by Radiowave Transmission (CONSERT).

Heard the ADS thruster may not work.

The ADS thruster is on the back of Philae and fires when it lands to stop it bouncing off the comet while it fires the harpoons to keep it tethered.

If it doesn't work, we may have spent 10 years waiting for the comet to play tennis with the lander.

Well, technically speaking, they ARE in space...

I wonder if "Philae Lander: In Space" will change in a few hours. And I sure do hope that Rosetta won't change from "In space" to "Not in space". :/

Thanks to HagarTopeka1 for pointing out how this comic works. I figured it out on my own. I'll share for others that missed it. This comic does not work on refresh, it simply loads the image at the appropriate time, let's say, at the 5 minute marks within the hour. Or 10 minutes or whatever is the current interval.

Repeat: DO NOT REFRESH, just....Wait for it. (heheh, ya know ;) ) (Seriously, Randall, this one should have been title-texted as "wait for it.")

BlitzGirl wrote:WHEEE!

Now I realize the angst of early followers of Time, who worried that if they missed a frame url it would be gone forever.

Yes, angst. Fun. Not. :P Grass is greener, I guess.

It's disturbing that the only reported status of the comet is "big".
Are they unsure whether the comet is in space and whether it contains raptors?
