Not quite as true as one would hope.
One would think that "save the gray wolf" would include "not tolerating them killing livestock", but the ranchers around Yellowstone National Park have found out otherwise. Maybe the ranchers need to build some main streets...
So, to get back to where this started, we are
letting conservation get in the way of deliciousness.
(Conservation of a non-endangered animal, even... the gray wolf scores "Least Concern" conservation status, which is as un-endangered as it gets. Humans are a "least concern" species. Bison are one rank worse off, at "Near Threatened", but I can still have one for dinner tonight.)
