1772: "Startup Opportunity"

Alt text: While there's no formal regulation, it turns out their industry group is NOT one you want mad at you.

So, Beret Guy buys groceries from L-space, and this gives wiser heads the idea that L-space is a good segment for a startup to disrupt? Aside from BG being his usual clueless self, I don't really get the joke.

No, Beret Guy might well borrow his books from L-Space1, but these are Tabernae Vagrantes, a different beast.

As a reseller for Wandering Shop items, I'm not sure how he can't be found, although if he acts in the capacity of an eBay site, merely representing itself as a C2C enabler, then maybe that's how it gets away with many bad reviews on most of its 'sellers'. Also, if you can't type because you're holding a cursed sword, that might impinge upon your ability to complain by standard means.

(But is the sword wielding type the industry group one does not want being mad at you? Even if those swords are cursed to -1 or -2 to striking?)

1 Rule 2 is "Books must be returned by the last date stamped". I don't know how well he adheres to Rule 3, but I don't recall him interfering with the nature of causality, only reality. Which probably doesn't count by default. I presume he can stay quiet.

Pretty sure this one actually *is* about me.

Btw, hi everyone. You may know me as the person who gets banned from almost everywhere in and out of the coding community. It is even occasionally my fault... ;)

Curious you mention eBay...

Apparently this is interdimensional, so not necessarily post-mortem.

Or maybe it's that potentially heroic airline pilot who is still waiting for that hijacking to foil combined with a typo?

In the universe I'm typing this in, Sir Terry Pratchett spelled his name with three 't's (and one 'T').

Is this the same company as this comic?

Or for that matter, this one?

You missed this one, I include it because I figure I could handle the technology involved.

Ok, that's it. I'm certain. White beret guy is just me. Where do I sue for copyright? Do I have to have a law degree?

If you were really (like) beret guy, you would be happy to invite each other over for crumpet hunting. Sue can tag along.

I don't know anything about law degrees though; do you need those for heating the crumpets?

When the temperature is more than one law degree you can heat torts. Only in English Law there is something about a law degree needed to warm up a nice bit of crumpet.
