Title text: People keep telling me to use the radio but I really hate making voice calls.

So far this year, there has only been one fatal accident involving a commercial passenger aircraft, in a remote part of Russia last month, of the 7 on board, one survived. With luck, there won't be any other accidents for the rest of the year.

There have been other accidents involving cargo aircraft, military aircraft, helicopters and light aircraft, but it's looking like one of the safest years in aviation since probably before WWII.

But the question is: is he looking for a LTR with a flight instructor, or just a one-off? Or, maybe it's a set up and he's got a Fear of Flying .

I had trouble expanding "LTR" in an xkcd context. I took it to be the opposite of an "RTL". The whole swiping-left-and-right thing added to my confusion. Then I started wondering what effects particular Unicode combining/control characters would have on various sexual positions. Basically, you're running tail -f on my stream-of-consciousness log here. That reminds me of the time I

LTRs are useful in dating retroviral insertions.

I don't actually know how many retriviral insertions found each other on Tinder, but I assume some of them did!

Apparently they are also useful for duplicating forum posts!

How on Kamino did that happen? (Usually when I click things too quickly/repetitively, I was told, it logs me off/de-authorises my session cookie and forces me to re-login to the forum.)

This could be a clever real Tinder profile for a pilot looking for pilots.

While I can't speak on behalf of cellocgw and have no experience with Tinder, I find it plausible to assume that "LTR" is supposed to mean "long-term relationship".

Not that I'm an expert on that kind of thing...

As I understand "The Kids", Tindr (and Grindr and scruff) are used to find someone to binge watch shows with on Netflix while chilling in the living room, likely with snacks.

Of course, you'll have to re-watch things because of all the distracting fuckin' going on.

Social tip: after someone puts a film on and then you have sex instead of watching it, discussing things you saw in the film when you should have been giving her your undivided attention is considered rude.
