WTB alt-text!

What was the dumbass doing throwing a boomerang in a space capsule anyways?

My bet is that Randall was expecting to not need a comic as the world was supposed to end on Wednesday, and he had to rush to make this one and missed the alt text (which is actually title text).

I would have liked to see the last shot on the same line as the shot where the boomerang breaks out of the panel. But then again it may have been awkward that way.

So I'm just gonna shut up and figure R knows best.

Is the US still going to return to the moon by 2020? I would love to see an astronaut throw a banana on the lunar surface. Now that would be hysterical. Puncturing the lunar module while still in the vacuum of space not so much.

I had to register just to point this out, its so awesome. If you read the second panels only, just like the fourth panels in the original, its a bonus comic.

Do boomerangs work in space?

It's the sort of thing I'd say no to straight away, but google says;

If you read diagonally from second panel going to the right, (1st row panel 2, R2 P3, R3 P4) then it looks really sad. He's looking for a hug from some-one, and the responses aren't what he might hope for...

Or does this just mean that I have some self-esteem issues...?

Edit - with help from the randomiser, here it is...

reading it first down, then up alternately along the columns worked for me, just have to be willing to pretend all the consecutive throwing frames are the same throw. !

What do you mean there is no Alt-text? It works fine for me.

The TITLE text now reads:
"An eternity later, the universe having turned out to have positive curvature and lots of mass, the boomerang hits him in the back of the head."

oh.. I was too late to point the TITLE text out. :)

Oh and I'm kinda of partial to this alternative version of the comic
:)

You are carrying:
- a slightly paranoid Android
- two left feet (not my own)
- a still unfed and very hungry hippo
- broadsword of +5 ridiculousness stained with the blood of the undead souls
- a stetson Resistol, cuz stetson Resistols are cool.

It just so happens that my first thoughts were along the same lines. Therefore, thy will be done:

This was my thought exactly, when I read the posts about the missing alt-texts. Two boomerang-like protons creating a black hole that no alt-text can escape from.

yjester wrote:Well, there IS a difference between this comic and the previous one: at this, no boomerang returns, while at the previous something always came back.

And why da hell someone would pick the last banana and throw it away, thinking it was a boomerang?

He didn't. He was disappointed with the Fruit Graph, and wanted to show Randall just how he felt about bananas.

stormoftara wrote:QUICK! Now we have to start arranging the panels in this comic with panels from the last boomerang comic.

And then add in panels from comics that have nothing to do with boomerangs.

It will be artistic gold.

EDIT: I don't want to stretch the page so... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/ ... icGOLD.jpg

Hopefully, one of those who made a website for the first comic will add the panels from today's comic as well. Also, brilliant comic. :D
