You know, there's a guy who build a working processor in Minecraft recently (I think, some of you know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxAmphwLPDY).

All I'm saying is... now "A Bunch of Rocks" has a whole new meaning to me :)

And even one step further, someone built a programmable computer in minecraft then hooked it up to a 3d printer in minecraft and used it to automatically build 3d models.

it's only a matter of time before someone figures out how to build a 3d printer which can build a 3d printer in minecraft.

I removed my original poem from here...and placed it on my site...

called "throwing rocks in a cave, man"
"While statistics and measurements can be misleading, mathematics itself, is not subjective."
"Be careful of what you believe, you are likely to make it the truth."

There is often mentioned the chapter of Greg Egan's Diaspora on Wang Carpets (I have a post somewhere back in the depths of this thread asking what book it was) in this thread. It looks like there is now an ebook (I've found it in Kindle version and on the iTunes book store) by Greg Egan titled "Wang's Carpets" - http://www.amazon.com/Mammoth-Books-pre ... 009ZVKQVS/

I haven't read it yet to compare this version against what I recall from the Diaspora novel, this book claims to be 300 pages long. Just thought anyone perusing this thread and wondering might like to know.

Edit: and... its just that one chapter. Arguably better than nothing for those who want to read it, but not everything for those who want to read that.

Hi I never post on blogs but whoever this man is, this "Randall", he has touched my inner essence with his cartoons, tapped my inner core.:)
Could I potentially be procrastinating writing this paper?

Yes.
