I had to make the comic thread? WTF, XKCD readers? Are you all high? What happened to the midnight rush to make the first topic?

EDIT: Oh, I see. Everyone else is just slow.

I don't say this often enough, but Randall Munroe does a really good job of conveying emotions with stick figures.

I think three people posted the thread at 12:02 AM exactly.

Haha, yeah. But he's had lots of practice. Also, red hair!

Yeah, but I refreshed the forum index for an entire minute waiting for someone else to post the thread.

You can switch the timestamp to show seconds. This was first.

Maybe she's saying her underarm hair doesn't match? Or s/t? Not sure I really want to think about that too much.

I think the upholstery would be arm/leg hair.. that makes the most sense to me.

This reminds me of a story a friend told about an old, senile, Ukrainian neighbor. She answers the door naked sometimes, and my friend ended the tale with "and, yes, the carpet matches the drapes."

That could be perverted, or antiperverted... depending on how you interpret it.

I suppose she could get the "upholstery" to match if she ate too many carrots... *whistles nonchalantly*

This post was created 7 seconds before the other one.

I love redheads. More kinky than others from my experience.

Also, I was going to go with arm/leg hair as well.

I think she means... like... her organs... and entrails... etc.
Not that that should come as anything new.

It's definitely referring to arm/leg hair. I'm a redhead with very pale blonde arm and leg hair (not to mention eyelashes, eyebrows, etc.).

Randall, you're creeping on me. I had quite a similar encounter with my girlfriend the other day. The week before that, we were discussing how I would love to have the ability to just sit and think, and you posted the comic about the stones.

I guess that's the appeal of xkcd, it's like it's repeating your life back to you.
Uselessnesses... what a silly word.

Hey vodka.cobra!

You lose, deal with it.

There's no 'winning' or 'losing' when it comes to thread creation. If we had medals or cookies, then there may be a point to all this non sense. Now everyone stand back as I try to merge this topic. Or delete it.

As for the strip (rather than thread wars), it gave me a little "I've been there" moment. If you're a redhead, you start hearing that damn question once puberty sets in, and then you just keep hearing it, regardless of gender (though I imagine girls have it way worse, but I've still gotten it a lot.) You can either get really annoyed, or start giving cryptic answers and walk on.

Does the carpet really match the drapes?
