"Frankly, my dear...I don't give a damn." <----First thing that popped into my head. No reason why.
Edit: WAIT, MAYBE THERE IS A REASON WHY! Maybe that's what the other guy said, prompting the couple to dismember him in anger. =D

Such nice use of color. It reminds me of the one about the drapes.

I didn't think that much of this one, but at least Carl Wheeler will probably be able to get something out of it.

Do stick figures get a lot bigger post mortum? (maybe it's like wearing a dress) Or maybe there happened to be some other things that needed burrying.

The first thing that popped into my head was more like "why not."

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Hat man and seemingly female equivalent storyline, so I'm just glad they're there.

I pretty much love anything with BHG2 - Black Hat Guy and Black Hair Girl - but they're on the nose with this one; all my pet names for girlfriends are in foreign languages... (reduces the number of times I have to get the spade out ;))

I cannot read references to a certain foodstuff without thinking of this lovely retelling of my favorite epic - so as soon as he said "danish" I thought about how silly he was being. After all, everyone knows you are supposed to eat danish for dessert.

Silly, silly, silly.

(Yes, this meant the comic made me laugh three times rather than the normal two.)

Try the Printifier for xkcd. You can now scale the comic between 50 and 150%.

I find these very useful: Common Errors in English Usage (web site) and Eats, Shoots & Leaves (book). You may, too.

At first I snickered, but BHG committing direct murder... it's just not right. Torture maybe, but murder?
I'm going to pretend that they guy in the bag is gagged, but trying to shout "You can't bury me, I'm still alive!"
Or that he will wake up tied and gagged in a bag, and a thin layer of dirt over him, a few organs missing, and a few sectors of his brain erased.

But not dead.

[edit] It took me forever to post this "At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this."

I'm sorry Randall. Murder=funny now?
I have to wonder why we don't treat murder the same way we treat rape: as a completely horrible thing that is not a thing to be joked about.

I should clarify. I found it funny. But why? Why do we as a society find murder to be a thing to joke about but something not as bad (I don't think that rape is as bad as murder, although it is pretty bad . .. what do I know, I haven't been raped) is not joked about?
Sorry. I read this last night:

??? Clearly you have never been to a public highschool if you don't think people joke about rape... actually, I don't know any rape jokes that don't also involve pedophilia, does that count?

Black Hat Guy and (what did we decide we calling her? Err...) and his significant other return! Which is good, I was missing her.

I appreciate the lengths they will go for their relationship. I also like the concept that they killed them without ever saying anything to each other beforehand.

Oh, I know people joke about rape. But it is a lot less accepted than joking about murder. Especially if it is guy-on-girl rape. (Guy rape and statutory rape are treated as a joke). But just imagine if Randall ended this comic with them raping the guy.

Personally I don't think either murder or rape is taboo for a webcomic with a primarily adult readership. I'm kind of disappointed though, that these characters that are typically so creative with their misanthropy had to resort to something as pedestrian as murder.
