Alt Text: I once got to second base with a basketball player. She was so confused.

Well this explains something I've never found an answer for.

OP: you're meant to add commentary.

I'm sitting in a class trying not to giggle. and trying to figure out what the binary says

Edit: It says "base 2". *groan*

The binary reads, appropriately, "base 2"

Literal eye contact? Is a lot tricker, and should be further along the bases.

Also, she's sitting on the top part of the couch.

It's too complicated for me to keep track of.

Just play the game! Don't worry too much about the rules.

Probably something to do with binary being "Base 2"

I didn't get the basketball reference... :(

Handy chart though!

Hahahaha, wow, this was one of the better ones recently. I was having a conversation about this not five minutes ago!

Good, now I have my excuse to bring XKCD into the lives of others!

I love it. I was wondering about some of that for a little while. I'm afraid to Google 2outfielders1glove. Does someone else want to notify us at the time that this is created?

Also, I was all set to post a "foul ball" pun, but I then realized that I hadn't thought of any. My wit once again ruined by my lack of wit.

I hear that can lead to all sorts of nasty diseases, viruses, and child accounts.

Imagine the way the conversation would go:

Person 1: What base did you get to?
Person 2: I don't know.
Both: THIRD BASE!

Impressive! I think my favorite part is the Maginot Line and the "Sharing Root PW."

(That also probably speaks volumes about my success rate with girls.)

Arg, discussion ninja'd.

Also ninja's on the "base 2" translation.

My interpretation is that "Your Base" next to home plate are belong to us.

Yes. Yes she is.

Is this abnormal? I don't do it much these days, but only because I don't have a couch. Couches are typically proportioned nicely for that, and are too low for sitting "normally".

Also, base2. <groan />

I'd hoped for something better (i.e. more obscure) than null-terminated ASCII, if only so my showing up 5 minutes late wouldn't guarantee someone else cracks it first....

Check out my chrissy behind

Like sex on the beaches,
What else is in the teaches of peaches? huh? what?

This comic puts me in mind of Meatloaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

Also, the written instructions in The Summer of '42 (in their complexity).

Also, the idea that guys "think of baseball" in order to "slow things down".

Benson wrote:I'd hoped for something better (i.e. more obscure) than null-terminated ASCII, if only so my showing up 5 minutes late wouldn't guarantee someone else cracks it first....

It's not null-terminated.

That implies that there's an opportunity for a buffer overflow.

And today's trending Twitter topic is a perfect match for this comic, too:

I just realized, starting point and home plate are in the same place. Makes the whole thing kinda recursive and metaphorically appropriate.

Hmmm... The diagram is severely confused by the fact that the starting position (i.e. no sex/pre eye-contact) is the same point on the diagram as sex. Perhaps we could come up with some sort of clearer coordinate system here.

I also think there's some argument as to the proper location of the virginity line.

(Wait, so... Napoleon's forces crossed the orgasm line o_O?)

*whew* Fixed. Failing to close a tag properly would create a temporal loop that could tear the ship apart.

In other news, I'm all for a poster of this. :D

Ohh man the base 2 thing cracked me up. These just make my week, And I'm glad that I now can pipe into a conversation with this, I might even print it out to better make my point.

So, with the Napoleon thing in there, how long do we have before a pun is made involving the Alps and orgasms?

sharing root PWs is a whole base of it's own :P

I laughed at the "base 2" joke, and I totally called it before I translated the binary!

It's not null-terminated.

Ouch. My first guess was swapped byte order, because of the "obvious" null termination, and I somehow never realized the null termination was invalidated.
Such fail.

OTOH, using nul as sp is just so wrong...

You don't write much XHTML then? (And what of closing a tag that wasn't opened in the first place?)

Or am I the only one that's seen that movie

I knew someone would have translated that ASCII for me. I really didn't want to do it myself.

ETA: Red flag: on Shark Week? I'm just guessing here.

My apologies, I interpreted it as a misspelled HTML tag. Anyway, if I recall correctly, the "groan" tag is a standalone tag, so proper formatting would be:

Code: Select all

<groan reason="badjoke" />

^I'm tired, so forgive me if the above attempt at humor is nothing more than dumb.
