Alt. Text: Surrounded by boring mysteries.

I think you've read one too many lonely threads, Randall.

How depressing.

"Etch-A-Sketch" Discussion

Postby '; DROP DATABASE;-- » Wed Mar 04, 2009 5:02 am UTC

(Did I really get here before anyone made a thread? O_o) No. The mergening has spoken, and you are 2nd.

I know how it is, man. Some day she'll climb out of my monitor. I just hope she figures out a way to not break the screen when she does.

I've seen that girl before, but her hair wasn't nearly as detailed. Photorealism in stick figures?

Ah, you got me by 13 seconds because I clicked "Copy image" instead of "Copy image location" and had to go back and try again. D:

*copies commentary from other thread*

I know how it is, man. Some day she'll climb out of my monitor. I just hope she figures out a way to not break the screen when she does.
(It'd also be nice if she scaled proportionally when she did that. Being less than a foot tall is kind of a turn-off for me.)

[edit] And now someone's gone and replied so I can't delete it. Meh. Mods'll get it. And edit your initial post so you don't have to repeat yourself, too. Whatta service we provide.

The problem with imagination is it does a lousy job of interacting with the physical world. And you look crazy when you talk to it.

What's the thing at the intersection in the second etch-a-sketch?

Edit: duh, should've checked WP first. That's what the insides of an etch-a-sketch look like

Surrounded by boring mysteries.

Fortunately, we're surrounded by fascinating mysteries, too.
Try the Printifier for xkcd. You can now scale the comic between 50 and 150%.

I find these very useful: Common Errors in English Usage (web site) and Eats, Shoots & Leaves (book). You may, too.

cephalopod9... you've just been waiting for Randal to do an Etch-a-Sketch-related comic so you could do that, haven't you?... It's utterly awesome, either way :P

It seems to me that etch-a-sketch girl has shading, and almost looks 3D. Could this be a new way forward for Randall?
