Alt Text: Let's invite him to a party and play 'I never'. Okay, I never hid any bodies SOUTH of Main Street. ... he's taking a drink!

Excellent...

...in the cemetery, of course.

The real question has always been "where are the survivors buried?"

or who's buried in Grant's tomb?
Try the Printifier for xkcd. You can now scale the comic between 50 and 150%.

I find these very useful: Common Errors in English Usage (web site) and Eats, Shoots & Leaves (book). You may, too.

First comic in a while that ive actually laughed out loud at. very good comic.

Though i do think it couldve worked better with Black Hat Guy, a reference to comic numbers 542 and 515 :P

I read the title and the first panel and expected something along the lines of a 'I slept with your sister/mom' thing coming up for sure...
I was pleasantly mistaken! - brilliant use of 'I never'.

xkcd has outdone itself lately. Great comic.

The last panel reminds me of the good ol' days of spamming phishing sites.

The desk in my dorm came with one, and yes I use it. The desk itself is piled with textbooks, notebooks, old scratchwork*, and occasionally food.

*By "scratchwork," I really mean pages where I've scribbled out at least half of what is written, and what isn't is barely legible mathematics.

Exactly the problem I face.

Mind you, I'm one of those people who if they could get their hands on a old AS200 15-pound keyboard, I'd be laughing.

(Recently moved back from a ComfortCurve p.o.s to an old PS2 keyboard and it's been peaches since.)

Did anyone notice (or is it just me) that the "current" comic is the crossbow one? ie. xkcd.com goes to the previous comic, not this one (same for the newest comic arrow).

Now listen sje46, I am sick and tired of your comments making fun of Randall for his comics making fun of the police. On top of that, you are insulting everyone who types phonetically. I know you're over there laughing and laughing at those individuals like they aren't people, but they are! The fact that you have to make fun of them just isn't right.

I think this comic is great: people trust computers far too much: nothing about computers magically makes programmers or other users trustworthy.

I tend to choose a non-sense challenge/response pair.

The problem is that the response to that challenge question is essentially a second password: you must type it exactly the same way. After Yahoo! tightened their security (Sarah Palin incident prompted it I believe), I forgot my randomly-generated password. Reconstructing the password was easier than answering the Challenge Question (from 10 years earlier).

Black hat guy wouldn't have the police on his tail to begin with.

Otherwise: epic comic. But the body was clearly hidden in the chair back, which he immediately moved. Duh.

You bet!

Given that my appallingly shallow desktop is filled with my (appallingly?) deep 21" CRT and the shelf has 17" and 19" CRTs with the front faces aligned, the only place I could fit a keyboard on the desktop is occupied by my laptop; it could be back further, but then it would be out of alignment with the 3 CRTs (one of which goes to it, and two to the desktop). The keyboard shelf holds my keyboard and mouse, and is also the only place on my desk I can actually lay out a paper and write on it. (Which, according to legend, is what the first desks were invented for.)
