Haha, it's funny because I'm a twin!

Ah, the period... a word with so many meanings, and therefore, so many jokes.

It doesn't hurt that one is a bodily function either.

This. Is. Gold. Not only did I get ¡burned by cheese!, I now have something that will brighten all my future periods. Truly an achievement to be proud of!
Also, filed for future use in appropriate circles. Just like the rest of the webcomic, really.

Took me two full reads to get the punchline.

And 413 nHz sounds a lot better than "once a month". :P

SaNE wrote:I've missed something here...

1/ (28*24*60*60) = 4.13 * 10^-7 = 413 nHz

28 days is 2419200 seconds, and 1/2419200 is 4.13 x 10^-7.
I think you were using minutes, not seconds. Try dividing your number by 60.

Frankly, though, since, let's face it, the joke here isn't the pun as much as the audacity of the context, we've seen it before, and it was funnier then.

I've got to say it now, haven't I? Fuck it, yeah, I really have got to.

Not cool, not funny, not a good comic.

*sigh*

Am I the only one with 'signs' from the outside world, warning me it's coming? This is the 3rd period related thing I've seen all day, and mine is supposed to get the gears in motion soon.

Motion to make uterohertz, uHz, become an official SI unit for frequency.

That would result in a lot of confusion with microhertz, μHz, especially since it's commonly typed as uHz by people too lazy to figure out how to type μ.
