Alt-text: Which is, coincidentally, the most unsettling mantlepiece decoration in my house.

Happy 600th comic!

Additional Commentary: XKCD's content is very unsettling as of late [happy?]

I was just about to post the exact same thing, down to the 'Happy 600th Comic'.

Except mine had a '^_^' appended.

Hi joee!

LOL, still, a battle ensues - 3 threads so far - I've seen you post around here often - I guess that means you've confirmed this thread?

You need to put a link to the comic in the first post, and some additional commentary.

But... this thread was first, and has the most subsequent posts.

I think Randall needs to get out more...

Oh, man. that alt-text is great.
wait a minute, is this the 600th comic? it is!
is it just me or is xkcd getting creepier? i think robot reproduction is just about at the top of the list in that category.

I've been trying to get the thread for the last few comics, but i can't get the image into the post. can anyone help me with this?

If humanity develops sexbots, I'm not sure whether I'll be scared or aroused by the ensuing bot-building competitions.

Is it just me or was anyone else reminded of the Android Mobile OS and think sexbot built by Google? I know Google is taking over the world but this is ridiculous.

After aforementioned competitions I'm leading the Butlerian Jihad. We won't go out that easy.

EDIT: And yes, it's a rule that I have to mention the Jihad whenever sexbots come up. Deal with it.

If the obviously-superior lovemaking of homosexuality hasn't destroyed the human race, I doubt Sexbots will be able to make much of a dent, either.

Randall is sexually frustrated because he's just been ill and had surgery.

Once the comics go back to math/science jokes we'll know he's all 'better' again.

Take out all the words from the third and fourth panels and you would have had a really sweet comic.

Has anyone else here read Saturn's Children? Set in a future where humans have gone extinct but are survived by the androids they created, one of the plot points actually involves two sexbots who, um, hook up. Actually, it's a surprisingly good read (better than the book's cover and my synopsis would probably lead you to believe).

I don't think it is his 600th comic because there is no 404.

I am simultaneously amused and disturbed by this.

I have yet to determine if that is a good thing.

Well, I guess humor's pretty relative, so if the alt text worked for you, then I'm glad you got a hilarious comic.

Personally, I didn't really care for the alt text and I wasn't terribly won over by the comparison of two androids doing it to a fleshlight and a vibrator.

In a strange twist, todays CtrlAltDel deals with android relations as well.

Coincidence?

Creepy: I read today's xkcd, read this thread (up the the post before yours), then decided to read CAD, and then came back here to post and found that you'd posted on that topic in the meantime!
Actually, as I was reading panel 2 of CAD I had the feeling of impending doom and suddenly knew exactly where it was heading :D Scary.

You would be surprised what vibrators can do these days. I saw one defy gravity for a few moments and the one beside it make comments.

HAHAHAHA Me too - and me too. That is the first time I have had to resort to Google to understand an XKCD strip (I scratched my head for ages over a couple, but always worked it out eventually - I guessed it must be some kind of sex toy, but I had no idea...). I think I have been living a more sheltered life than I was hitherto aware...
