We had those at my middle school, although I never used the lockers so I never really got involved in LOCKER POLITICS. Then later all the lockers were light red and no one really complained. END STORY.

Preach it, xkcd!

Thank you! I despise those stupid stickers. "I hate to break it to you, but if local law says that you can't skateboard on the mall sidewalks, then skateboarding there is, in fact, a crime. You can argue that it shouldn't be a crime, perhaps, but flat-out saying it isn't is like saying the sky is green."

My favorite thing is modifying those stickers to say "Baby eating is not a crime" or "Arrest me, I'm a serial rapist!"

Also, nonsense substitutions are awesome: "LOBSTER is not a crime."
Then I thought, "Man, I should have just said 'yeah.' "

I believe they are arguing that, yes, skateboarding isn't a crime, so people shouldn't treat it like one; rather than proclaiming its legality.

And green skies generally mean imminent tornadoes.

Skateboarders with unwarranted persecution complexes cause natural disasters? You be the judge!

I've heard of them, they're absolutely retarded. As if they are 'hardcore' because they have those stickers.

You know, this whole thing got me thinking...as a loser and as NOT a skateboarder, it might be funny to stick one of those stickers to something of mine...just for the classic. You know the deal.

"I didn't know you skateboarded."
"I don't."
"..."

However, more than that, I need something like 50 of those "I DISAGREE" stickers for general use.

Those "I disagree" stickers are awesome. I just want to stick them on peoples heads when they start talking shit.

If you do that, they need to have REALLY GOOD adhesive so you can just put it over their mouths and they'll be silent until they get to something pointy to slice it off.

I saw a bumper sticker today I had to share

"When Judgement day comes I bet you'll wish you had stickers about Jesus"

Thank god I had my seatbelt on, I was laughing too hard to keep control of the car.

I once saw one of those stickers stuck on a stop sign.

I was so very tempted to make my own sticker in reply that says "Yeah, but vandalizing street signs is"... I think it would be a double irony worth making.

I've always been kind of tempted to reply "well..yeah, *in general* it's not. Your sticker needs to be more specific about where you're asseting the legality of skating".

I had no idea skaters had legal problems when I first started seeing the stickers, so it was kind of like how a "No Backpacks on Counter" or "Absolutely No Dogs Allowed" poster implies that, probably, at some point the place had a problem with unwanted backpacks or dogs.

So basically, my thought from 10 years ago was a less funny version of "LOBSTER is not allowed"

Whenever we play 'apples to apples' Lobster wins. Or cactus. Any singular animal.

I want a sticker that says "Murder is not a crime" or "Shoplifting is only a minor crime"

I'm slightly reminded of a work story.

I work security in the campus library on the graveyard shift, 12am-8am, once a week. This past week we had a guy try to come into the building with his bicycle, which is not allowed for obvious reasons. When informed of this, the individual stated that he was a member of the "Church of Nature and Science" and that it was "against his religion to be parted at any time from his bicycle".

Eyeroll
Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead."

Church and Science should not be mixed, almost as bad as Church and state

Speaking of objections

Another good sticker responce would be "Skateboarders are illegal people"
