You sure? I checked after I posted, and mine was at the very bottom of the list of Understocked threads.

However, I've been cheated like that before, back in the days of trivia chat rooms, where your line would appear before others in your view, but others would see theirs first. Only an unbiased observer can make the call, I think.

You know in retrospect, knowing that there is a thread id would have been really helpful throughout the existence of this site. Why did no one mention this earlier?

Both threads were created at exactly 12:00.33.

This comic looks rushed.

wooo comic comic comic

Honestly, the comic feels a little too much like the wackiness is supposed to support it in place of, well, anything else that might be humorous in this situation. I don't expect realism or anything, but it feels too "wacky is funny, so let's do something wacky and not think about it too much."

Well, if Obama's driving the presidential limo, at least we know they didn't get stopped by spike strips. The police probably waited until it ran out of jet fuel.

Damn, Gorden Freeman is a wild one..... or at least that's who I'm assuming that is. :P

Heh, someone else already said that....

Wait.... is the guy on the podium supposed to be the president? Because there is no way the president would go to jail....... or would he?

The President of the United States may not be sent to jail while in office. As soon as you impeach/let him get out of office, he's free game.

"Different types of alcohol"? I assure you, methanol has very different effects from ethanol. Ask your grad student friend to chug some wood alcohol if he disagrees.

Different types of alcoholic beverages all generally have the same type of alcohol.

To be fair, apparently we posted it within one hundredth of a second of each other. I rushed like crazy to make this topic, knowing it would be my first Individual XKCD Comic Thread - and I was surprised to find you'd already posted a thread - until I noticed mine was below yours. It then proceeded to leapfrog between our two threads because the timestamp was the same - I think the thread number is probably the best indication.

Here, have some respect from me. *hugs*

That may help a bit. In a few words, a friend of Obama got arrested over a misunderstanding with an officer, he got released, Obama invited both of them to have a beer at the White House to set things straight.

Ooh. Out of curiosity, what *did* you type? /tease.

Regarding Obama talking about this; I have to say its refreshing (having not watched this before) to have someone with a sense of humour. Also the way he said "My old house, not this house. Here I'd get shot." had me in hysterics for some reason. The reason is probably sleep-deprivation.

It was more of a curiosity thing actually - its not really anything special, especially considering how many threads there already are.

I didn't really enjoy this one. It's a good comic, but I don't think that it is a good xkcd comic.
There should be a punchline with some bit of math/science/etc.

I really shouldn't hit submit. I'm complaining without any really valid points. xkcd is a free webcomic. I didn't pay to see it. I haven't even bought a shirt yet.
Whatever, I'll just cast my opinion in with the rest of 'em.

First time in a long while I've actually L O L led. Usually I smile and laugh inside, but this was laugh out loud joke. I especially like the dramaturgy of the comic. It had real good timing. Jolly good show Randal!
