I want to do this. I'm impressed that a couple of you were able to attach signs to your cats. I think trying it with mine would probably result in the loss of an eye.

I'm a big fan of internet memes and your comics as well. After reading the comic this morning, I was bursting out of laughter - it made my day.

Now to share my own cat:
Image

I also like the 'I has a bucket' and 'THIS IS SPARTAAAA' memes, and I'm actively creating images on the pouet.net image board.

I hope images aren't against the rules here, I'm new.

Can you give a more specific link to that? I'm always looking for more sites to steal images from, and I couldn't find it easily.

pouet.net Random Image thread
pouet.net "I has a bucket" thread
pouet.net "THIS IS xAAA" thread

last but not least, the infamous "Origin of the pig" thread, which is a private meme by itself.

Be sure to look at those from the first page.

We used to do this to our cats over 20 years ago. We had a bunch of the nametag stickers people wore in meetings, and we'd write the cats' names on them and stick them on the cats. It was funny watching them spin in circles, trying to get the things off.

We used to have a mostly white cat, and when my mom was in college, if she was highlighting text in her textbooks, she'd reach over and highlight the cat if she got bored. So we had a rainbow kitteh once in a while.

I probably shouldn't find ICHCB style cats funny; they're not original or creative in any way. They are, however, cute and hilarious, so I laugh and have ICHCB in my RSS reader.

On the note of verbal semi-colons, I've found I use them all time in formal debate.

I love interweb memes. When I get into a conversation with a friend about them we can be sitting there referencing a load of memes and quotes and the whole conversation can be made up of just (sometimes slightly adapted) interblag sayings. This is much to the annoyance of other, less internet-inclined people.

I gave my friend's cat (of a peachy color) a magic-marker makeover one year for her birthday. He looked like a tart.

As I've said before, the only real purpose of the Internet is to look at pictures of cats.

A couple weeks ago, a friend and I spent literally 2 hours going through every picture on ICHCB. It was amazing!

This one seriously made me LOL. My roommate heard me and asked what's funny (she's an xkcd reader as well!) and I told her to go look. Then she LOLed.

Every time I find a lolcats page on Stumble, I look through all of them. I think my favorites are "Kitty has reached critical mass" and "INVISIBLE CAT."

They are exceedingly low maintenance and do not require you to go outside to care for.

Hi; I'm here from the Internet.

Specifically, and slightly embarassingly, I'm top of the high scores in this bit of it..

Do I win a hat?

Last week I posted a blog entry that aggregated several links about the lolcat phenomenon and what I privately call lolcatspeek (but which is called, in other places, things like "kitty pidgin" or "kitteh").

Now, XKCD.

If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a case of Baader-Meinhof phenomena, which in and of itself might seem to be a case of Baader-Meinhof phenomena since I was just looking up the daminteresting article about it last week to show a friend.

Now I am going to go lie down. While I am doing that, somebody please caption my friend Catherine.

Well yes, but I was going for the classier beastiality joke instead of the obligatory pussy joke.

Although I'm glad to see Phenriz took it to a different level and went for furries.

Now this is genius, and the kind of language geekery I wish I was capable of myself. Over-scholasticizing internet phenomena is a wonderful thing.

And I'd say the idiosyncratic conjugation cat is now my favorite of all those images.
