Alt text: Lets go out for dinner after we promptly destroy all the x-7's we've manufactured.

You know, I've always thought that's how a zombie outbreak would happen in real life. Or, for that matter, not happen.

Title text: Let's get dinner after we promptly destroy all the X-7 in we've manufactured.

Haha, sounds like a great movie!

Well, considering patient zero seems to be god modding... Though, he does have a weakness against wood and nails.

I'm slightly disappointed there will be no Battle of Yonkers now.

Also, this would go really well as a side gag in a comedy.

This needs to be made into a real movie. Anyone have the right connections?

Why are they numbering their patients starting at zero?

does the fact that this sounds like a movie I would actually watch say something about my personality?

Today's topic took so long to pop up that I could have done it myself, had I not been afraid of creating a duplicate. Anyway, awesome comic. Though the thing is, it pains me to see characters pass up such obvious solutions. I would enjoy this movie, sadly enough.

It's a commonly used term for the origin of new diseases or disease outbreaks.

"Prisoner Zero will vacate the human residence, or the human residence will be incinerated."

Oh, wait, Patient Zero, not Prisoner Zero. Erm...how to comment now....

Yes, I would totally watch this movie.

The situation is actually not too far-fetched for a gag in a romantic comedy.

And I would probably enjoy this movie.

Silly humans, don't you realize the virus will spread to anything that comes near the body until it's been burned? You two are already infected, but if you work fast you can destroy the three of you without leaving any trace of it to infect the next poor sap that finds you.

Fantastic. I'm looking forward to a movie whose first 5 minutes have absolutely nothing to do with the plot.

But they opened the door violating quarentine procedure. Now they have to be in isolation for a week. And excepting the crisis over in five minutes, this is the plot of every action movie.

*separate isolation areas please, after all only one got hit by the blood splatter.

Personally I could only think of two things.

a)
natey wrote:I was thinking arrays in programming.

b) The honeymoon/romantic overseas date is almost CERTAINLY going to be in Madagascar. If they can get there, that is.

A lot of movies would be much shorter if the main characters had used common sense.

"After careful examination of the premises, we have decided to keep all predatory dinosaurs in cages. Electric fences might be accidentally turned off, or the generator could fail. Also, we will not make the velociraptors larger than they actually were. The rest of the movie will just be a documentary about dinosaurs. You know you will watch it anyway."

This is why it's a romantic COMEDY. It's funny because they start the zombie uprising at the end.

I was alll prepped to post it, but then I started making a score report for Mao/Nomic and I lost track of time. The funny comic cheered me up though.

To everyone who says "the virus will spread anyway": Notice that it's a toxin, not a virus. Toxins aren't that freaky.

Couldn't they just have strapped him to an electrostatic muscle activator, or injected him with some caffeine, until he sweats all the toxin out?

So many movies could have saved millions of budget money with this solution.

In that case, the zombie plague couldn't spread, even if patient zero did munch on a few brains. The only purpose for such a toxin would be chemical warfare, but honestly, wouldn't napalm, nerve gas, or high-intensity-UV-radiation be so much easier?

worse, viruses die without a host, toxins will stay forever. What are you gonna clean it with? And then where will you put the cleaning solution? And it's not like they were wearing biohazard suits

The virus must be force sensitive. I mean, isn't Madagascar the hardest place to get to for a virus to have global infection?

If a girl is a scientist and "keeps a gun in her truck", you propose. Then you ask her name

Alt-text actually reads:

Lets go out for dinner after we promptly destroy all the X-7 in we've manufactured.

I'm assuming the first draft was "all the X-7 in the lab"...

Other than that, a thoroughly enjoyable strip. I want to see this movie.

No, no. You only propose first if she keeps a crossbow in the trunk. A gun simply suggests you had best propose before the end of the night.

Was I the only one whose reaction to this comic was "wait, does this mean the stick figure guy and girl are named Ryan and Laura?!" Or just for the purposes of this comic I guess?

I dunno, a gun would kinda freak me out.

A crossbow on the other hand...

NO no no, you make awkward conversation with her (cuz honestly she just shot a guy) until she leaves and you miss your chance to go after a badass.

Just for this movie. She's normally Megan, and I think the guy is often Rob?
Or maybe they are just common characters. I'm guessing this girl who looks exactly like Megan is actually Megan acting in the movie, as Laura.

....This is incredibly sad
