Oh man, I finally got to point out that someone created a "Malamanteau"! As the Facebook conversation went:

Person 1: maybe he will if you enter the squawk-dagon.
Person 2: How do you get "squawk-dagon" from the words square and octagon?
Person 1: He dubbed it that making fun of me. You've only heard us say it 1000 times ... (oh wait, you've learned to drown us out)
Person 2: No dear its sqoctagon...as in a portmanteau of the words square and octagon.
Me: The malamanteau "Squawk-dagon" is a neologism for a portmanteau created by incorrectly combining the onomatopoeia "squawk" (that was a malapropism for "square") and the neologism for an MMA ring "octagon".

I am pretty damn sure that "squawk-dagon" is a malamanteau.

I'm pretty sure I couldn't say that with a straight face.

Or Portma'traction for short.
Also I keep wanting to break it up as Portman-traction...

Shhh! I think there's a squawk-dragon hiding in that bush. Remember, it always squawks three times before it pounces, so start running on the first one.

Luckily, I never had to say it with a straight face because that was a Facebook conversation. PS: Special thanks to spell check because I can spell about 1 out of 3 words in that sentence.

I found an actual example of a Malamanteau: http://www.angelfire.com/film/dannykaye/Fiddle.htm

Notice the use of the word "putrified." It is simultaneously a portmanteau and a malapropism, which makes it a malamanteau
