Wow, this is one of the best April Fool's jokes I have seen on the Internet! :D

Also, I like the parsing of the posts to something funny. Even though, Newgrounds.com did that one (or two?) years ago as well it still IS funny.

I joined this board after being a viewer for years to say one thing.

This 3D conversion is going to make me have a lumpy yawn.

That is all.

What 3-D rendering? The comic doesn't look 3-D.

I wonder if randall can make enough regex to cover the few of us getting past the filter.

At first I liked the wait, but I think the first one is the only one that works really well... (i.e. when you change perspective, you can glimpse the back of the desk meaning there's depth). I was going to say it must've taken a long time to do all of it but it seems it was auto-generated or something...

Oh, I JUST noticed the link at the top of the homepage. That explains a lot! Some of them really are wonky, like: http://xkcd.com/733/

Oh, I see. Those sutpid box shapes are supposed to make it look 3-D.

Ahahahaha just noticed the word replacements. It's like I'm typing in 4chan again. That's the better April Fool's joke of the day. Continue on, half-twos!

Yes, now it's implemented. When I first read the comic there wasn't ANY alt text, not even in the source code. ;)

Randаll has nothing to do with the filters. The filters are part of mod madness, and are created by the mods.

Incidentally, mod madness has nothing to do with April Fools. The first mod madness happened in February of 2009.

But they decided to do it today (April Fools) so it has to do with April Fools now!

(I'd like to see people trigger more filters.)

On IE5 (corporate, what can you do?), it's just a blank grey area (sometimes with parts of the image). . But I do get the alt-text!

I'm noticing several other regex replacements reading through. The author was just the first 0! I noticed. Unfortunately, I can't seem to decipher a few of the words. Mostly been typing words using preview while I guess what the triggers are.

I think I'm missing something here. What's the April Fools dealie this year?

I did notice the comic on the homepage jerking around every few seconds... Is it supposed to be headache-inducing?

The URL of the flat image is displayed right below each comic.

Unfortunately, the .png fallback image is inside <noscript> tags (instead of just presenting it normally, and /removing it/ with javascript when the script loads), so I saw no comic at all when browsing with noscript on. Figured out the date, and that something were up, and checked the source...

Oh, at first I didn't know what people were talking about. Works just fine in Opera 11, with title text and everything. It's just your normal xkcd ... with headaches.

The word replacement on the forums, however, is another thing. Let's see:

y o u r -> y'all
t h e f o r u m s -> Pallet T o w n
t o w n -> anthill

This comics are cool... till you get a headache after realising that the first few comics (his drawings) were even more glitched than other. You can see some unmovable blocks in the middle that leave weird white spaces when you move it around.

However, (possibly cool idea!) he could start some kind of game where random comics can be flipped around to become some kind of hidden message. Possible, but highly improbable.
