Sounds like it would be a good pairing with a gal called "Freckles Woodgate".

However, I'm a guy.

That actually pays better, I'm told.

Paradukes wrote:Hmm... I always heard a bowdlerized version of this: Your stage name is your middle name and your mother's maiden name.

If I went by the rules, I'd get Hook Ross, but if I bent them a little I'd end up with Sinclair Kings... Neither is terribly appropriate I guess.

Ha, if I did that I'd end up with Michael Vladmirovna. (Or if I bent them a little, Michael Vladmirovich.)
The way used in the comic: Either Murano Hampshire, Mozart Shelton [Mill], or some combonation thereof.
Method 3: Hershey Reese's. Doesn't work very well.

Mine would be "Sapphire Dyke".

...How does that work if I'm male?

"Name?"

"Mister Rogers"

"You're hired."

He might even be headhunted by porn recruiters.
And I just realised I was assuming the kid in question was female, because it's not as whacked-out funny if it's a guy named Mister Rogers.

When we got them they were 8 weeks old, and we spent one night watching them before we picked names. We'd been thinking about names like Einstein and Mozart, or Newton and Bach. But we saw that one was clearly the leader, but the other was bolder and more gregarious. That made the choices obvious.

I would just like to reiterate Blah28722's note that your porn name is just a phishing scheme, and that posting random personal information, let alone answers to common security questions, is not the greatest idea in the world. That said, I am sure most of us here know enough not to put in real answers to our security questions... that would just be silly.

When I translate it to English, my name would be Cheetah Bowsprit. It starts out well, but the latter part doesn't sound very promising.

I've never heard of this porn name thing, probably because Holland is so small and there are so few porn actors you couldn't hide your real name if you wanted. One famous porn actress here just chose to go with 'Kim Holland'.

You gotta remember, while Mr. Rogers is an iconic character well know to Americans and Canadians, the chances are, a lot people outside of the US and Canada would not know about him.

The only reason I (an Australian) know about him is because of a Cracked.com article.

i'm Canadian and i only ever heard about mr. rogers online. i was raised with ernie coombs (a.k.a. mr dressup) on TV.

mine is romeo yonge (pronounced young). has potential.

Yes, to me, as an European, the reference was so obscure that I didn't even think of doing a search to see if it meant anything in particular.

Oscar Edgewood
Oscar Chestnut
Oscar Locust.
None of them are really great, but I think Oscar is just generally a bad name.

I'm not sure which is worse - my name despite the fact that I am (and thus all parts thereof are) white, or that my toddler daughter is "Squishy Duckwood".

The most inappropriate name for a porn star based on a pet name and street I lived on:
Squeeky McLean.

Seriously people, the new porn name generator is your mother's maiden name followed by your social security number. Of course, any time you refer to your porn name, you should always also refer to your drag queen name which is your credit card number followed by any other information someone trying to hack into your bank account might find useful.

I find the thought disquieting yet horribly horribly amusing that some people actually use this information for online banking or other security question purposes. Siblings, parents, friends of yours or your siblings or your parents, their parents, and others would know this information and you'd let anyone who knows it access your money? Really?

Then again, this is coming from a guy who closed all of his bank accounts in early 2009 and is not in the least inclined to open one again anytime soon. Certainly not before they're regulated more tightly than nuclear power and/or weapons. Which will likely be never.

Had to have a little laugh as I read that - I couldn't help but imagine people answering that honestly. I've met the type who'd do that.

That costs you what, 4% of your savings per year in inflation and missed rent? If you really cared, accept that you're investing 10x dollars in unscrupulous activities, and use the 10x+1 dollars of rent to make up for it by giving to charity (assuming banks invest less than 0.6% of the money you have on your account in undesired ways).

I have no idea if this is true or not (although a quick google suggests it is), but I've been told that one of the more common forms of ID theft is relatives stealing info from other relatives, in particular parents from children and vice versa.
