Alt text: "In a way, all vultures are Time Vultures; some just have more patience than others."

I wonder how good a time vulture would taste?

If Randall wanted to invent a scavenging species that "kills" by speeding up time, shouldn't he have used...

You, good sir have won the forums! In recognition of this achievement I extend to you this laurel and a hardy handshake.

This comic was pretty existential for 5am. Definitly not going back to sleep now....

At first glance this comic does not appear to reveal much but I feel like Randall has shown, in a very interesting way, the inevitability of death. I also feel that this comic reflects current events that have been surrounding his life and to that, I wish the best of luck to him.

On a slightly different tangent I just finished watching HP7 part 2 and the similarity in theme slightly spooked me out.

Clearly evolution is wrong, because we don't have one of these.
Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
As idle as a painted ship

Saw the comic and thought "Oh god, the Whovians are going to rise up..."

And lo :P It also made me think about that part of Discworld (Colour of Magic, I think) where he talks about tectonic plates whizzing by from the rocks' perspective, and how we should hope they don't notice us piggybacking.
Thus spake Cartofel.
And yea, there were great rollings of eyes, and shakings of heads.

Like others, I thought of the Angels and other imagined chronovores that take a more "active" approach, leeching away the years fast enough for others to observe in horror. Nightmare Fuel indeed.

Unfortunately for the Vultures, its prey has taken to saturating itself in toxic chemicals then hiding underground in a box, or simply immolating itself, when the time to dine finally arrives.

Please, think of the time vultures. Just say 'No!' to funeral homes.

Save the Time Vultures. Put £0.01 in a bank account - by the time the vultures get hungry, the miracle of compound interest will mean you can afford to feed them.

They've been purposely vague as to the reason.
My guess:
Scalability issues. But the cool kid never gets to say they're popular. Or they're just elitist and decided to block the uninitiated who wouldn't think to search for a forum that isn't linked and therefore, "likely" not even there.

"likely", what a silly word.

It is "likely" that a time-vulture will have sex in slow-motion and the result is space-babies.

QUESTION:
Does the art for the TV remind anyone else of an MtG card?

The forum admin is waiting for there to be a Wikipedia article on how to put a link on a website, so he can follow the directions and then Randall can write a cartoon about it.

Not very specific IMO but at least someone is working on it.

There has been speculation that it was deliberately removed to prevent a flood of condolences being posted on the forum in response to Randall's "blag" about his girlfriend being diagnosed with cancer.

I have no idea whether or not there's any truth to it. (To the bit about it being deliberately removed, I mean, not the bit about the cancer diagnosis.)

The whole concept definitely has a Pratchettian quality to it. The time vultures would fit neatly in the Discworld bestiary alongside the chaos butterflies and ambiguous puzumas.
