So, what is the juggling notation for that?

I think it would be fun to have juggling balls that never come down. Faintly reminiscent of http://xkcd.com/226/
Standard. Because we use it. Goddamn do we have balls.

I might just be experiencing a really weird déjà vu, but does anyone else feel like they've seen this comic before?

Would the balls be painful to run into for a particularly tall stick figure? Or would they give?

Do we patent it now, or do these comics effectively make the patent void?

Most juggling books have step 1: drop the ball.

Needless to say, skipping to the middle is a bad idea.

I wonder why they lost momentum. This can't just be simple anti-gravity.

<anecdote>
In sixth grade my math/science teacher was big fan of juggling, and we all had to learn how to do it. In fact, one of the first things we did during the year was make our own juggling bags (which didn't last very long). We'd juggle for probably around 45 minutes to an hour a week. Everyone in the class managed to get the hang of it eventually, and most of us moved onto doing 4 or 5 bags, pins, etc by the end of the year. It wasn't a huge waste of class time either; in fact he was probably one of the better teachers I have had for going above and beyond the regular curriculum material. And I still know how to juggle. :)
</anecdote>

For some reason the comic reminds me of http://xkcd.com/258/, specifically the bug report bit. "Uh, the physics engine in the universe is frozen again. Can someone reboot the server?"

Yes, this was posted on Friday in a fit of oopsie. I guess I don't need to check in for the next two weeks, I already know what the comics are going to be...

Was that the "ten-minute comics" one? I never even noticed he'd put up another comic in its place.

In a weird coincidence, Josh Fruhlinger of The Comics Curmudgeon accidentally posted Tuesday's blog post immediately after Monday's, revealing that (A) he somehow gets the comics he lampoons before they go to print, and (B) he writes some of said lampooning a good deal ahead of time.

Randall, get out of Josh's head!

Remove the dust jacket and you will find that the book is actually titled "50 Ways to Learn to Hover."

Perhaps he needs to get his boomerang out to try to knock them down. I'm sure this couldn't have any unintended side effects.

When I first looked at the comic, I thought "Oh, the juggling one, I saw that already, maybe I need to reload the page to see today's."
But this is definitely today's comic so now I feel like I'm going mad. How can I remember seeing today's comic before today? It's more than just déjà vu. WHAT'S GOING ON????

[edit] Wait, was this on the 5 minute comics page which was mistakenly released and then swapped for the real comic? That would explain why I remember seeing it.

[edit] or ten minute comics. I see this has already been covered in the above posts. Nevermind.

I take it nothing goes right for this person.

If he tried to make money from floating objects I bet it wouldn't work anymore.

It would be a good idea to float these objects on the market now, I hear it's bouyant.

On another note, I haven't seen this comic strip before. I do like the idea of more boomerangs though. Would juggling boomerangs be cheating though, as theoretically they'd return to your hands automatically making it easier?

I recall a comment on http://www.xkcd.com/939/, where people kept commenting on the Arrow being "missing" that was stuck in the wall. Maybe it's about that?

Hey forum people! I couldn't NOT share some animated gifs I made back in 2002 and 2003. Here's my take on the anti gravity balls:

And about stick figures juggling?

I read the rules, and know about not posting links on my first post, but if you think these are worth seeing, someone who is allowed to post images/links can share them again. Enjoy!

nah, that makes it worse, i got the feeling that the guy left it there, thought "fuck it" and then someone later asked him why it's there, only to have him break down in confusion, and that's where i found the most humour in it.

Great comic -- loved it the first time when it appeared for 10 minutes "by mistake" about a week ago.

As I recall the original comic was part of a group of 5 minute comics, such that each one took less than 5 minutes to draw.

One was a girl saying "Aunti Em! Auntie Em!" and an elaborate dangerous looking robot answers in computer-speak "Yes?"

I can't remember any other ones at the moment... I had tried to recover it from my browser cache but it wasn't there.

The rectangles that were drawn around the panels for this comic were sloppy -- someone has cleaned it up for this posting.
