Funny comic. I don't believe it needed the alt text though.

Actually, you could juggle by bouncing the balls off of a hard surface...

This comic reminds me of a terrible joke at the beginning of a how to juggle book.

To truly juggle, you have to use one less hand than items you're juggling. Juggling three balls takes two hands, and two balls takes one. For one ball, that's not juggling, that's telekinesis.

This is the only joke jugglers know.

Now the word juggling looks really weird to me. Also a juggling sounds like a small/baby jug.

The comic works equally well if you assume the frames were sampled at a low rate, and there's a fair bit of aliasing going on.

I'm guessing he's referencing zeno's paradox.

Upon closer inspection the comic references more than itself; the balls are inert.

There was some bonus content on the Matrix DVDs I borrowed from a friend a while ago. It was a short anime-style movie about an area in the Matrix where the gravity was not quite right and children used to play with it until it got fixed eventually.

Honestly, I was expecting a boomerang to make an appearance. But there's no boomerang to be found.

Still, I like this comic.

English isn't that logical. It's got to be either a joggling or, on a better-than-average day, a juglet.

He's juggling immovable rods, of course. (seen end-on.)

Clearly, the juggler spun them WAY too fast, and now the gyroscopic motion is counteracting any other forces, including gravity and momentum. The balls are going to greet him any second now.

This comic has a great chase scene, I almost thought that the juggling balls were going to catch up to the Earth for a moment, but that old lady has some crazy stunt-driving skills.

I have to be honest here: Today's reminded me most of http://xkcd.com/298/
The world doesn't make sense! Why should the balls fall down? Normally the universe indulges him because he's so cute. Guess it was bored today?

I thought the joke was that, this being a comic strip, there's no way to tell that in the first "juggling" panel, the balls are actually in motion; and so the remaining panels subvert our expectation of motion.

I only just realized that the book's cover (and presumably all later images) is a frozen depiction of juggling, so he's actually doing exactly what the book shows him to do. Quite well in fact.

Thinking about it, this is probably the storyboard for 'Phantasm: The Early Years'.
I possibly don't pay enough attention to what's going on.

It looks like a sloppy 55500.

I guess I should be happy that it's not the typical weird 'circle juggling pattern'...
