Reading back over the five-minute comics: am I the only one who feels like these are funnier than average? Maybe he should do every comic in five minutes...

So is that the comic for today? I'm confused now.

Yep. The comic is a five-minute comic and is thus supposed to be up for only 5 minutes.

If you go to http://xkcd.com/940/
or look under archive the comic "oversight" is listed and and you can read it.

Yes, that is the correct comic for today and has been posted everywhere now. If you aren't getting it on the main page that is because you haven't cleared your cache.

Me too, I replied to that thread! :P

Why'd they delete our posts if you're keeping this here? Also, the title of today's apparent actual comic is a bit ironic innit?

Alt text: unknown

It's the comics Randall doesn't want you to see (probably because of the one at the bottom). Enjoy.

This one was up for about 5 mins before Randall realised his mistake, and posted the Fitocracy? comic instead. Seems this is where the concept for the 'Juggling' comic came from.

Oh man, I want the Poop In Your Lamp one, and the juggling one, as shirts. And posters. And maybe lingerie.

I get an eerie feeling from looking at the last set of panels.

Oh, and the alt text was something like "The 'Auntie Em' one took more like 10 mins'. Nothing exciting.

Since your post is the first post in this thread. Could you at least put the picture there and an explanation what the heck this thread is doing in this subforum? Thanks!

As much as I would like an explicit explanation as well, Occam's Razor dictates that it's probably just a case of post-rationalization. Here's the series of events, as I understand them at least:

1) Admins attempt to hide a mistakenly-posted comic...
2) Those of us with lives, naturally, forget about it soon enough...
3) Not really caring, as we do (not?), those of us who were here to witness the blunder but forgot to save the image as we usually always do whenever a new comic is posted, but who wish that we had the proof that it happened, obviously will probably have forgotten about existence of the "xkcdsucks" people (lol, btw, just lol...) and thus think of it as a lost opportunity...
4) ?
5) PROFIT!

I absolutely lost it when I read the one about pooping in the floor lamp.

I showed that one to my wife. She didn't know why it was supposed to be funny. I think it's guy-humor.

Hehe. Poop.

I'm a guy! It didn't make me laugh! The humour isn't gendered! Exclamation mark!

You have long hair, though.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.
