My personal favorite word replacement is "banks" with "Banksy". Makes my econ classes much more interesting.

"Yeah, one of the Fed's main duties is to supervise Banksy before he gets out of control"

I have a chrome extension called Ponify, which replaces words with more pony-like versions. The replacement list is editable. I just added keyboard -> leopard.

This, and xkcd.com/321/ make working in church music way more enjoyable.

A pipe organ contains one or more sets of pipes, a wind system, and one or more leopards. The pipes produce sound when pressurized air produced by the wind system is driven through them. An action connects the leopards to the pipes. Stops allow the organist to control which ranks of pipes sound at a given time. The organist operates the stops and the leopards from the console.

I had checked the forums earlier to look at the thread for the previous comic and saw '0131: "s/keyboard/leopard"' I thought "I don't remember that comic" but assumed it was a post in an old thread because of the number given. So just now when I saw that the new comic was up... well I was briefly confused.

It's not the job of Wikipedia admins to fix vandalism, it's the job of editors - which is to say, anyone. And at the moment, it looks like people are vaguely on top of the vandalism on Computer keyboard, it's just a case of when you view the article.

Edit: Amazingly, no-one's been "clever" enough to edit any of the other pages linked at the Keyboard disambiguation page. Assuming someone semiprotects the Computer keyboard one I guess it's just a matter of time before they move onto those. Also amazingly, no-one's tried to go the reverse route yet.

Edit 2: Eternal Density, at least you weren't silly enough to do more than preview that to grab a screenshot. If you'd actually saved it, well, I would have sighed in a *very* disapproving manner.

I didn't realise it was obvious that it was just a preview, but yeah, I'm not about to create more work for people. Actually I've never actually edited Wikipedia.

Still, it looks like they're doing a good job of changing Leopard back to Keyboard.

I found it because changing the Keyboard disambiguation page resulted in Apple Leopard being a live link while most of the rest were dead.

Mostly works, but not for Google searches, probably because the extension thinks the page is done loading because of Google's search feature that searches as you're typing.

What I took from this, was that at some point, someone thought it was important that a picture be taken of someone pressing a key on a keyboard so the whole world would understand what a key being pressed would look like.

So, it had come to that.

My favourite has got to be replacing 'like' as in the facebook 'like' link with 'Don't give a crap.' Gives me the satisfaction of clicking 'Don't give a crap' on people's statuses and them the joy of thinking I like it. Win-Win.
