In a World Where Voiceover Actors are No More

Postby Felstaff » Wed Sep 03, 2008 12:56 pm UTC

So long, then Don LaFontaine. I often had LaFontainian Paracusia as I mentally narrated my life. Which was excellent at breakfast times.

Here's a fitting tribute from Hal Douglas and Jerry Seinfeld, from 2002ish?
Away, you scullion! you rampallion! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe.

This made me weep a little. I wanted to be him. :(

This man basically defined a genre. I wonder how trailers will change, if at all?

Forget Jeremy Irons, this guy needed to say all my lines for me. Alas, until I perfect my Paracuthesiser, the dream will have to be over. In a world where actors are too many and talent too scarce, one man will always be remembered as the guy whose voice you're imagining this sentence in right now, right here.

No, and you're a horrible person to suggest we can replace Don LaFontaine (also, that video sucks, you should have picked a good one :P).
