I wonder if people are overthinking this phenomenon:
Some Guy quoted by the article wrote:"The child-like grammar tends to evoke the sort of sympathy one has for any child or foreigner struggling with the language one speaks.

I always thought that it was to mock or blend internet memes, depending on the author. I don't think the original creators were aiming at cute at all.
