Computers driven mad

Postby Technical Ben » Fri May 06, 2011 11:31 am UTC

Using neural network type programming, boffinscomputer programers have been able to replicate madness in a computer.

Very interesting article and study being done. Makes it easy to understand why people tend to get confused when bombarded with questions too.

[edit]
Sorry posted term used in the article, that probably won't fit here and was said as a poor joke anyhow.

It's all physics and stamp collecting.
It's not a particle or a wave. It's just an exchange.

This can only be a bad idea. The whole point of having intelligent computers is so they can make rational decisions where people can't be trusted to. Mad computers = irrational. Just say neurotoxin.

Really, that's the whole point of having intelligent computers? Who placed that restriction on their use? I don't understand why we can't use intelligent computers for gaming AI or understanding mental illness better.

Real intelligent computers would be terrible gaming AI, you'd have to hinder them or they would quickly overwhelm any human player.

And then not play with you again, because it's too easy. ;)
