It was popularly demanded in the introduction thread.
Hi Maiko!
Nice fapping Peshmerga.
To everyone else... um. Hi again!

Aw, look at your curly hair! If you let it grow out, does it get all poofy and wonderful?
This is what I do in my spare time. Take photos of myself pulling faces. And my butt. (Kidding?)

well, here is a picture of it from about 3 years ago now when it was at maybe just a bit shy of its longest, this was shortly after i discovered i had curly hair so i was pretty motivated about it first time round:
however, i much prefer it as it is now, or a little bit shorter, so it is still curly but not too much to be bothered with.

Aw, I like your hair grown out! Also, do you know that you look sort of like a Who from Whoville? It is not a bad thing, it is quite adorable. I just thought I would let you know, though.

haha, thankyou for that... i've never had that one before, but then all i normally get is "AFRO!" from a bunch of neds. (how do you say neds in american? neds is like the scottish version of english people saying 'chavs', but i don't know how you say it in other english speaking countries, if there is an equivalent. non-educated delinquents.) i also got 'kemal!' a lot during big brother last year for you brits amongst us.

I
want to be funny with the non-educated delinquents thing, but I just don't want to antagonise anyone. So um, pretend I was funny, but not at your expense

Even though Rhianna (my girlfriend/VannA's wife) doesn't really count as a member because she only joined to post in that one thread that seems to have stopped being posted to now, I will attempt to take a picture of her and put it in this thread to make it look like there are more girls.
Problem: if Rhianna reads aldimond's idea of dressing up as a girl and posting pictures here she will probably attempt to make me do it. Dunno why, but she delights in inflicting girlinesses on me. She waxed my armpits and part of my left leg once. She painted my toenails red a couple of weekends ago, too. I'm generally tolerant of this sort of thing, but there are limits. Putting photos of it on the blagowubisphere is beyond those limits. So I put it to you, dear xkcders: how do I get a picture of her and put it in this thread without her reading it and deciding to do this?

So what would it take to get the guys here to take pictures of themselves dressed as girls? Because that would be kind of neat.

Pretty much a guarantee it wouldn't get to the intertubes in general, which is a promise you can't really keep.

Well I wouldn't show anyone. Who the heck goes around showing everyone on the webweb pictures of random dudes dressed as ladies?

Them being gay?
Or... No, no, that's it.

Cross dressers aren't necessarily gay. Or so Val Kilmer leads me to believe in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

I don't know who would do it, but people stumble across these things and you never know if it'll be someone who knows someone you know.
Maybe if we cleverly made alt accounts and edited the photos to disguise our faces?
Or maybe I will paste my face onto an existing photo of a woman and post that?
This still seems like a terrible idea to me, but if at least two other people do it first I will join the silliness.
Why would you want to see photos of us boys dressed up as girls, anyway?

Because that is how I roll? Because I think it is neat. I don't even know, I just like it.
I am pretty sure hermaj hit the nail on the head there.

Ooher, I just noticed I've almost caught up with hermaj again, hooray! Listen girls, I'd totally do it. Can't leave the ladies wanting. But I don't have access to girls clothes. No sister, no girlfriend.

Shoot. Go to a store and take some into the dressing room. And then you can take myspace-esque photos of yourself in a mirror.

Rhianna probably thinks roughly the same thing - hence the behaviour I mentioned earlier.
<edit> Snipped out my complaint because it was already made.</edit>

The people in the store will think that we are very strange. At least you have a friend who you can explain the situation to.

Go to a store that you don't frequent ever. That way, they will never see you again. It is foolproof.
(I forgot I was responding here because I got distracted and I found this like ten minutes after I started typing it. The idea will still work, though.)
Edit: Guys, please do it? Please? I will trade you something awesome.

That is because we are both awesome. The boys will not dress up like girls and take pictures.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly why dudettes so often think that cross-dressing dudes are cute or whatever, but in my experience it is a trend. From real life, to the recent Questionable Content strip, to this here thread.
Another trend I know is that wearing a dress feels totally different than wearing man-clothes. There is a lower percentage of your surface area in constant contact with fabric. That is to say, it makes you feel kind-of naked. Maybe it's not as strange when you've done it a few times.
I pretty much have no good reputation to lose, and nothing is going to displace Slashdot and blog posts as the first things you get when you Google my name, and honestly I wouldn't care if people saw me on the Webtubes dressed as a woman for forum geeks. Unfortunately I have no friends and thus no source of female clothes and makeup, knowledge, and also nobody to take pictures, because you need to be pretty artful to avoid showing the chest and throat (my Adam's apple is pretty noticeable).
One of these days my desk is going to collapse in the middle and all its weight will come down on my knee and tear my new fake ACL. It could be tomorrow. This is my concern.

I'm curious as to when exactly the "Post your face" thread became the "Post yourself nude/cross-dressing" thread...

We need to find a girl who will get naked. Do you think the new girl will get naked? Any girls willing to get naked? Maybe?
Edit: Moopanda. It did that when I asked to see boys in dresses and they all said no. Or had bad excuses for not.

I bet the number of sites with boys wearing pretty clothes is not nearly that high. Therefore:
a) You would be doing the ladies here a wonderful service, so that we can all giggle over how cute you all are
b) You'd be evening up the stakes
c) If
Marten can do it,
so can you.
