@VectorZero: In my [irony]brief clarification[/irony]of roles post, I do state that a Capo's investigation is day only. Again, sorry for any confusion my multiple lengthy posts may have caused, but, y'know, I was making most of this stuff up off the top of my head, and trying to make sure it was all consistent, and hoping that I was not conflicting anything I had already written (I had a bunch of ideas that I did not use, by the way). Of course, you strip away all the "reversiness" and you get a pretty vanilla game of cult, almost. But, as long as people have fun, it's all good right, so . . .

Increase: Fun
Amount: 50%

How: More discussion amongst yourselves

Re Godfather's wife, basically vanilla w/ exception of ability to "order around" the godfather?

Since you BOLDED it, this question was probably directed at me (it wouldn't hurt to start with a "Hey Mod" or a "@ our all-knowing and hopefully merciful Master" so that I know you are asking me), but all I will say is, read the post where I tell CVS about the role I assigned him, and the post about the number of total votes and number of votes needed to kill. The Made Men are definitely vanilla, but I am not sure what category I would put the Godfather's Wife in (Participating non-participant?).

And asking me questions will not prevent taunting. You need to interact with all the other players to do that. (I'm barely refraining from taunting you right now!)

How exactly is "Yarr!" a mafia accent? What I've always heard was "fuggetaboutit" and "youse guys" = mafia.

From what I've seen/heard in these games, vote hopping and random voting (to a lesser extent) are alleged bad guy tactics; vote hopping I guess to avoid the appearance of bandwagoning. It's still early for firm suspicions, but IGMEOY.

As for the accent thing, it's more of a stereotype thing, and you're sounding more like Jack Sparrow than Tony Soprano.

EBWOP: I didn't explicitly include the possibility that both capos are already mafia.
I think we have 3 options with regard to the daytime investigations:
1) ignore any posted results
2) if a capo claims to have turned up an FBI, lynch the capo immediately. If loyal, lynch the FBI
3) advise the capo's to hold off on their investigations until lylo, when the godfather can consider converting and using the daycop then.
Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards 2, but a plan from higher up would be good

Ninja'd: unfortunately, the FBI have a thorough and foolproof test to exclude pirates from their snitch banks, being deemed relatively untrustworthy. I have reproduced the test below, which I found on the mafia locker room floor:

Since I do not want this night 1 dragging out indefinitely, I am going to impose a 72 hour deadline from right now.

If the required 5 votes to kill are not reached before the deadline, I will declare this to be a "no-lynch", and day 2 will then start with all players still alive.

5 Votes means Trumpkin is dead, has been chopped into little pieces, and now sleeps with the fishies.

Immediately after doing the dirty deed to the youngest of the Made Men, everyone raced over to Trumpkin's apartment, where his personal journal was quickly discovered under his bed. Besides embarrassing love poems written to Beatrice, but never sent because of both fear of rejection and fear of the Godfather, no evidence was produced to indicate that Trumpkin had been anything other than a loyal member of the mafia.

Trumpkin was MAFIA.

Day 2 starts now. Send in your PMs if you have possible day actions.

Today's topic for day discussion: How did the HBO show The Sopranos accurately portray the mob, and in what ways was it completely fictitious?

Reminder: you can all post whatever you want during the day in this game thread, but you can only PM other players if your role allows it (and please include me on any PMs sent).
