Looks like XKCD is busting in on some other sites...
These are from Overcompensating
http://www.overcompensating.com
Alt Text: The dude has like 50,000 plastic balls
And this one looks like randall did a guest comic based on the above...

(I tried to find the alt text... but there is none. unfortunate)
(by the way, HI! I never had anything to contribute and I just registered because I finally had something to share besides the epic love for the humor in this community)

The first one has been posted somewhere else. The second one - I'd guess it wasn't drawn by Randall; to me it looks more like someone making a joke out of his awesomeness. Of course, I can't vouch for that, but you could ask him on IRC or by email.

I love this kind of stuff! In this case, it's one obscure webcomic referencing another obscure webcomic. This is the stuff private jokes are made of!!

You mean that the TOP one is by Jeff Rowland of overcompensating and a few other webcomics and that the BOTTOM one is a guest follow-up by Randall himself, right?

Hmm... I don't know. It just doesn't strike me as Randall's style to have his in-comic persona "hack the internet". I agree it looks a lot like his drawing / writing, though.

Alt text is "Gerdy fetch my stick figure spray."

Today's guest comic comes to you from a grown man with a ball pit, Randall Munroe. We will be together at the RoflCon at the end of April or whatever.
The thing to remember about Spoffin is that he's playing by rules no one else understands

I don't think XKCD is that obscure (at least as far as webcomics go). It was making the front page of Reddit there for a while until I lost interest in Reddit. And according to
http://www.trendsspotting.com/blog/?p=308 its online readership is bigger than Dilbert.

Let us not forgot the guest Explosm episode!
http://www.explosm.net/db/files/Comics/Rob/uglygirl.pngXKCD is just too good, it's appearing everywhere!
But if anyone were ever to discover the meaning of life, all of space and time would collapse in on itself, and in the place that remained a large sign would appear saying:
Level 2.

I don't know if this should go in this section or not, but feel free to move it to somewhere more appropriate. I like Dinosaur Comics and xkcd, so I like guest strips like this.
http://www.qwantz.com/archive/001328.html (I also apologise for not putting the entire comic on here, I haven't figured out how to do it.)

I was a bit disappointed to see that Randall Munroe didn't re-draw T-Rex and co. in his own style like the other guest artists did, but the comic was pretty good and I thought Ryan North's title text was especially funny.

"??????"

Link:
http://www.palm.com/celebrate/body3.jpgThis is an unfinished strip that Randall has apparently done for Palm, Inc. as part of a promotion for an announcement they're going to make at the CES in Las Vegas. The person who supplies the best punch line wins a free trip:
http://www.palm.com/celebrate/. Who better to come up with one than the readers of this forum?
(Mods - sorry about the double-post. I posted this in "News" first, but then I thought that the strip itself ought to appear here. Please feel free to remove either thread if you think it's redundant.)

Knowing MIT hackers (one of whom is a very good friend), they'll go about doing just that. *shakes head* Randall, don't you understand that you're a self-fulfilling prophet?

I want to be teh smart and go to teh MIT...and get six hours of sleep in the course of a school year.
So far the closest I've come is modeling for an MIT photography class. I think it should help the application a little.

There are two known velociraptors living in the Boston area, you think MIT wouldn't plan for that?

Seems Mr. Munroe has done a guest comic over at Wondermark. Check it here:

Alt-Text: The things I have seen, Bartleby! A man named Goat See has rediscovered Leonardo's 'Tunnel of Knowledge' festival trick.
Also the stuff about beards lower on the page is cool.

Is that an incredibly obscure reference to Herman Melville's story, Bartleby the Scrivener? That would be truly impressive.

A webcomic funnier than life itself. Updated Monday-Friday.
