Well... I can give you my band's myspace. It's pretty bleak atm, although we are working on an EP. I don't have any writing credit yet, apart from a few lyrics here and there. When the EP is done, a couple of tracks will go up on the 'space, and I'll try and post some videos of us.

You have a nice voice.

But I can't sing, so I write instrumental songs. I guess you'd call it post-rock, except keyboards are more prominent in my music.

Hey, everybody - my first "EP" is finished (it's actually pretty much just the first half of the album I'll eventually be releasing for free. It's a collection of mashups, experiments and some original compositions I put together (at any rate it was fun and took ages to make) so I hope somebody downloads it and enjoys it. Me, my sister and a friend have this band called My Enhanced Little Rhubarb: http://www.myspace.com/myenhancedlittlerhubarb We make pop songs about a cloud called Rupert Cloud, a tree called Selma Tree and a bunch of others; little stories from their lives. We use whatever instruments we have around, mostly acoustic and electric guitars, but also things like melodica, trumpet and harmonica.

Dingbats - Your music has this adorable, childlike innocence to it. At first, I was kind of put off by it, but then I listened to "John Stay Around My Roots," and it really got stuck in my head. I mean, it's a song about an apple and a tree, but there's something deeper to it than that. I added you as a friend.

I am now in a band known as The Infamous Ocean-Borns. We are like some kind of nautical punk cabaret band with an extra dose of pretentious. The Decemberists hit head on with the Dresden Dolls and most of Amanda Palmer's piano skills transferred to Colin Meloy. It's more of an experiment right now, trying out things that people haven't tried out before. We don't really have a lead singer. I'm a tenor, he's a baritone, we do what we can do. We both play piano and I play guitar (although not at the same time), and I do the mixing. We are from New Hampshire and so have taken the name was taken from Ocean-Born Mary and the fact that, while fall out boy may have said it, fame < infamy.
We have a facebook page but no myspace to speak of.

I know there is a lot to be improved on. I can't play the guitar very well and I can't sing properly while playing the guitar, cause I can't record separately. Oh, and that was recorded at 2 in the morning. So please, I got tons more excuses, criticism would be nice if it wasn't obvious. Personally that song is my favorite.

I'm in a band called The Benchmen and we mostly do original jam rock songs. Our drummer is funk-inspired so we are trying to expand in that direction, and I've been trying to get the band to move towards jazz and blues. Anyway, listen to our songs on our website music player at thebenchstop.com/audio.

Oh and Sanctuary1, I listened to your songs on Youtube. The songs sounded well-written, but your singer sounded bored. Also they weren't very well recorded, but I totally know how frustrating it is to get halfway decent audio anywhere except in a studio.

The Infamous Ocean-Borns have actually done some stuff now. We are super copyright-paranoid about everything, so we are only releasing samples for now until we get all this stuff settled.
This is our song (or 48 seconds thereof) Untitleable, which will gain a proper title in the future.

It's actually rather nice if I say so myself. I am not singing on this song. Not me. Just FYI.

Edit: This was a far better quality the last time I listened to it. Ugh.

Sounds pretty good to me, just a little bland at points. I'm not much for electronica either.

I posted these in the Your Art and Links a while ago, but since that forum is a pretty dead place, I figure I might as well post them here. It's just a short collection of four songs I've written, being fully aware that I'm not a particularly good singer.

I am laughing inside because we don't have drums. Anything you hear is the sound of the keys hitting.

WHICH IS HILARIOUS.
We use a Samson microphone (named Delilah), Monster XLR cables feeding into a mackie mixer, then 1/4" plugs from each of the two pianos into the same mixer, then from the mixer to the computer, where we use Audacity. I think I messed some things up in post-production.

Had a listen, was started nice, thought minimal intro, wonder where this will go.... but for a full track it seems empty, not enough to hook me, but an interesting idea.

Might work better if you were to build on it with a second line, or effects or something. not to over do it (i like the minimal) but to give a counter ot a point of reference.

I'm tempted to sample you thou (if that ok with you)
