This is a thread idea I've had for a while, and I think it's a pretty good one. Each poster should come up with a card using the name the previous poster came up with, and then post the name of the next card. Mana symbols should be done with capitol letters (WUBRG), hybrid mana being done with a slash (W/U, 2/R). (->) Should be the tap symbol.

Also, to the people bickering over other people's stupidity, leave them be. Or make snarky comments before or after your card, but most importantly MAKE A CARD when you post. That's the point of the thread, to keep the ideas moving.

When Goblinocerous is put into a graveyard from play, target creature gains haste until end of turn.
Not to be combo breaking or anything, but this is almost ridiculously useless. Since you can't target creatures you haven't played yet, it would only be of value if you got your Goblinocerous killed in your first main phase and had played a creature without haste already (which is generally reserved for the post-combat main). How often does THAT happen?

You know, I think there is a card generator out there where you could be putting all of this on a fake/real card.

Wait, cumulative upkeep x? couldn't you just pay 0 for X for each age counter on alchemist's fire?
I think what you want is this:

Cumulative upkeep: u
during your first main phase you may add R to you mana pool for each age counter on alchemist's fire.
When alchemist's fire leaves play, it deals X damage to you, where X is the number of age counters on alchemist's fire.

Yes, it's been a while since Ice age. I forgot how that works. You get the concept though. The thing shits red mana (which can burn you) and will eventually explode (which will burn you) but it's a useful mana transformer while it lasts.

Good call on that paradox, I hadn't seen that when I made it. As for the goblin, I made that one so sacrifice mechanics can get some use out of it, the ability wasn't meant to be for anything other than a sac outlet.

You know... I know I spent way too much time on the YMTC forums on wizards.com, because I want to critique each of these for power level, flavor, ect. Anyway...

Hrmmm, I couldn't decide how to cost it, it's probably a bit low on the power scale, but seems like a neat idea anyway. I was kind of toying with the idea of an instant, so it could be used as temporary removal (of unknown threats) as well, but decided against it. Oh, and the grammar is a bit vague (should be fairly obvious, but it's better not to have ambiguity in an already rules-heavy game), I think the card could be worded a bit better, but I couldn't think of how right now.
