I have not checked this thread in ages. Being in Europe is an excuse, but I've been back for a week o_o

Anyway I don't know if I work on the 15th, but I can tell you that my chances of working it are 2/5, so hopefully yes I can go.

I still say we should get a game of 1000 blank white cards going, though I'm also up for some cycling shenanigans. jgcrawfo, do you by any chance know how I can get/see a map of that trail and other local trails? I'm pretty sure my gigantic PDF of the GRT bus routes shows pedestrian paths, but they're not labelled.

I am in exams 15th, 16th, 17th, 20th, so I would not be down for the 15th. Don't worry about me though.

Bike paths are on the GRT map, they are yellow with green dots I think? You can also get copies of the trail maps at my work (turnkey) or presumably from the town itself.

April is a bit nuts for me, i'm afraid... i have a bunch of stuff for work (trips and training) plus about 8 birthdays in the space of 2 weeks, including my own. :D happy birthday to me! but i'll keep an eye on the thread and if i can make it, i'll be there.

i'm likely not going to be around until well into May, though... sorry!!

I have a pretty fun board game that i'd love to play with a group of 5 or more. It's co-operative against ever growing forces of evil with the exception of a potential hidden traitor. The wiki page makes it sound scary but it's really intuitive, easy to play once you get started, and easy to get into~ It's fun for non traditional boardgamers too!

I might also pick up some resource trading/auctioning/building type game too (but not Settlers as everyone has that =p). Something like Power Grid or maybe Agricola?

If people don't mind slotting off 1.5 hours for a board game. I'm up for outside adventuring too, if the weather isn't like it has been this week (though I don't have a bike :s).

I'd say meet up at Waterloo Park (as theres benches and stuff near the ponds we can do stuff at) but it looks like the temperature isn't going above 10 next week.. and it might rain

I agree with the theory that someone should thusly be in charge of meetups on a rotating basis of sorts. Or if people want to volunteer to be 'captains' the rotation can be limited to them.

Ooh yeah sure. I love films!

When I was at the Vancouver Indie Film Fest one of my friends saw Gomorrah (while I saw some Korean horror type thing). I think she said it was pretty good, covered a lot, and was true to the Italian mafia movie feel. I'm not sure but I think they said the direction and scenery were really good too? So yah, definitely interested in either

.

Oh yeah, this movie is pretty awesome, recent, and didn't seem to get much attention. I have it on my lappy (among others) if you wanna do cheap college kid style movie night
