So the place we meet up is going to be at the botantic gardens in the city, on the 18th or 19th of april? I am just trying to get the details right about it. I will come if I can, but I proboly couldn't come if it was in the night, so what time will we all meet up?

Definitely during the sunlit hours. I wouldn't recommend hanging out in the Botanic Gardens at night, really. Probably meet up around, say, 1100 for the picnic? Then to the arcade a bit later in the afternoon? Us oldies could always hang around for a drink or two after that, if anyone is keen. Whether it's the 18th or the 19th is really up to all of us. I am available either day- does anyone have a preference?

I highly recommend a Saturday, being as a lot of us have to be back at work on Monday, so we wouldn't be able to make a night of it on Sunday.

So, this is what we have so far:

Saturday, April 18, 11 am
City Botanic Gardens, Main Gate
(that's the one mid-way between the uni and the river)
BYO BBQ food, plates to share always welcome!

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm going to beg off the early BBQ. I'm going to Atmosphere to see the Tycho Brahe sat night, so I will be going into the city later. Anyone up for coffee/pool/clubbing would be more than welcome!! We could meet up in the afternoon, and for anyone interested, doors open at 8, but the Tychos won't be on till around 11ish

ETA: I'm going to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine at the Myer Center on Tuesday, April 28, 19:15; everyone's welcome to that too.

Bumpity bump! Luke and I want to go looking at cool steampunk shops and whatnot in the Valley, not this weekend, but next one - the 7th or 8th, I think it is. Saturday or Sunday (though I don't know if everything is open on Sundays, does anyone else know?), we're pretty flexible (especially seeing as I don't know if I'm working or not yet) and we want YOU to join us! I'm thinking a wander through the shops, and some food, and good times will be had by all.
