Well, now that you destroyed the string it's rather useless now.

So if not Entropy, does anyone else have any ideas? All I can think of is one of the people hopping in at the tail end of that miniwagon.

Personally, NaR's vote and then unvote after I challenged him about it is the most off thing to me. It's not much to go by, but it's the best of a bad bunch. Vote: NaR.

I did not destroy it, the mod unexisted it! Otherwise I would have still had a piece. That doesn't mean the rock is useless though.

Catch: Rock

Assuming we have any items,

Wrap: String; Around: Rock

I'm gonna Unvote since I think any Entropy discussion that's going to happen no longer requires my vote. I can always slap it on later if necessary, and I'd like to keep it by me in case I need it on short notice.

@Knightshire; chucking around votes in the very early game is perfectly legitimate, because it's really one of the main ways to start discussion. However, I was a bit concerned that not one or two but four people climbed onto that bandwagon. Thus I'm directing my votes at NaR right now because he was one of the last to get on that bandwagon and he jumped off for a bad reason once someone raised an opinion against it; I really don't think the vote will stick, but NaR is the currently the person sticking his head up the most.

And now I'm more suspicious of Entropy, since that didn't appear to an OMGUS vote (and if it was he Did It Wrong since I unvoted anyway) and there is literally no justification given.

Oh, that rock was fake? Because you say it is? And that indicates...what, exactly? Man, you're like, BEGGING for me to put my vote back...

Entropy is implying that you want to burn down the playhouse. Which isn't very nice. (Neither was burning the non-existent string.)

Why can't we all just get along???

Vote: Princess Marzipan because you were scum in SMCM and I don't know how to trust you yet. And you climbed the wall before me. (Which doesn't exist, so you're crazy!). Um . . . and you, uh . . .

That's not at all what I was implying... I'm the one who wants to burn the playhouse down!
Which makes more sense when you realize that the ones in the playhouse are the ones who want a rock to wind a string around.

You can tell just by looking at my skull

I don't know what that would do if he had to follow them somehow. That's just the first thing that came to mind.

What makes you think winding strings around rock is evil?

Wait. If Triangle Man hates everyone, and you are currently also waging war on "everyone" ('cause everybody wants a rock to wind a string around), logically*, that makes you Triangle Man! (gasp)

Wanting to stop everyone hardly means I hate them. I just want them to stop!

And of course it is an evil impulse... when you wrap a string around a rock you create a rock on a string. If you swing it around, it could be used as a weapon!

Vote: Not_A_Raptor

Sorry, just a few more questions: Are there an unlimited amount of unvotes? And how long do the nightcycles last in these parts?

Also: people need to start talking. Entropy's dominating the discussion and keeping it rolling for us, but more than a few people haven't even posted so far. Seriously, quiet games are no fun.

You have A vote, it may be placed upon whoever you want at any point of time (unless your role specifically says different). Days and nights usually last for however long the mods want, with most days being ~1-2 weeks and nights being 2-3 days.

Honestly, the discussion is going off on a tangent which I'm really not liking.

Yes, unless there is an explicit restriction in your role (there sometimes is, but it's not common) you can unvote and revote as many times as you like in a given day. You may only have one vote active at any one time, of course, but you can change who that vote is for as much as you want. Vote hopping a lot tends to come out looking really scummy though and draw suspicion.

Night cycles are shorter than day cycles, normally, but the rules for how long they last are similar. Day lasts until someone gets lynched or the mod(s) impose a deadline; Night lasts until all the night actions are sent in or the mod(s) impose a deadline. Normally this is 1-2 weeks for day and 2-4 days for night, depending on how many night actions there are and how many factions that can talk at night exist. I've seen nights last anything from 2 minutes to well over a week and days last from under an hour to over a month before, though.

personally, I'm looking at Princess and NaR; PM for starting what was guaranteed to be a bandwagon based on what looks to me to be a joke, and NaR for the whole on again - off again bit.

Also, I agree that it seems odd that entropy is constantly talking about an element from the lyrics. If I still had some Advil, I'd throw it at him to see what he could say.

To be honest, I do most of these things on a whim. I hardly ever think things through in a game, and I follow who looks scummy at the time instead of game-long trends. I voted for Entropy because it looked like a good thing to do at the time. I hopped off because it looked bad to stay. I kept quiet because it looked like I might put my foot in my mouth as I'm wont to do half of the time on any given day one. I speak up now because I want to head this off before momentum sets in.

I haven't done much. To be honest, nobody has done much. I'll happily vote Marzi for starting that Entropy business if you care for me doing so. I hate day one.
