Ok. So, since people are kind of lazy when it comes to this, I'm making an event.

Anyone want to see Coraline in Waterloo Park on August 6th? There's live music before the movie, and when the sun sets, the movie is coming on. It's a free event (bring a non-perishable food item), and all you need is a blanket, a chair, and some outdoor wear.

), we can look for just a regular eat and meet, or go for video games at someone's place... Eh, I thought sitting outside might be fun. Fingers crossed for no rain.

sorry i've been so out of the loop lately... new job has me running around a bit! it's all kinds of awesome and i'm learning a tonne, but it's been pull-my-hair-out kinda busy!

PS anyone who had my cell phone number, it has changed due to my move and i forgot to let people know!! so PM me and i'll give you the new one... :) my folks tried me on it the other day to no avail o.O oops!! i've been using the work one lately, so i never really noticed! :P

Well, either I work on the 6th, or I get the shift changed and then am instead on a trip with my family that day. And besides, it's just... it's not the same without Alpha Omnicron, you know?

Haha so yeah I can't make that unfortunately. I'm working a lot this month so I probably will have difficulty making it to any events that may arise.

Those MWF times don't work for me, and I'm unlikely to be on campus much on TTh since I have no classes those days.

Ok.

This needs an update, since the last meet up was like soooo last year.

So, here's an idea: if anyone's available, we should totally go to the Fass heckling night at UW. Feb 5th, at 10pm. Ok, I'm gonna be going, one way or another, with or without XKCD, but I'd love to see some of my fellow XKCDians come out. It'll be a fun night of in joke laughs, stupid songs, and yelling at actors in ways you're never allowed to do. Don't worry you won't be alone, and it's part of the fun. And yes, the jokes are nerdly.

If that doesn't sound fun, we could do something else. Weekends fill fast, so a weekday night is probably better than nothing. but, I get busy those nights too...

Either way, a meet up would be pretty cool, no?

My April is pretty crazy, I'm in Somerville/Cambridge/Boston right now actually, I was here visiting clients and am just kicking around for the weekend now. I am in Kitchener/Cambridge/Waterloo next week, but then I'm going for two weeks again starting next Friday.

While this wouldn't specifically be an xkcd thing, it would likely be of interest to local xkcders:

I'm a member of a hackerspace downtown Kitchener (basically, a community of creative people from different disciplines who get together to share ideas and make cool stuff). Every Tuesday, from 7PM until we all decide to go home (usually about 10PM) we have an open night. Basically, anyone can come in to see the stuff people are working on, share ideas, etc.

It might be a neat idea to have a meet-up there.

17th is bad, 24th should be okay. Oh and uh...if it will be a Friday thing, anyone wanna let me crash for a night or two? It is a 3 hr drive, close enough to finally meet you canada peeps but far enough especially if a Fri night thing...yeah not gonna want to drive home.
