Add sci-fi mafia to the que plx. It's a mini. I am the one and only mod, signups open for all.

There usually is only supposed to be one mini in queue at a time, but now i think we can have 2, seeing as there are supposed to be 2 minis going at any given time.

Please add "Snakes & Ladders - Lover's Edition" to the normal game queue. Since the game won't start for months, I don't think it needs to go to signups quite yet, but I do want to make the reservation. Thanks.

Toss in Star Trek: The Next Generation (of Mafia) in the Normal queue.

This will be good.

I believe that Jurassic Park is keeping that spot full until stargate ends, at which time 1984ia will start and JP will go into signups.

Is this where I ask if I can mod a game? I want to do a c9 and I accsidentaly already started sign-ups because I didn't know where to post this.
Also, why do I need to ask?

No, captainwalrus, you may not start yet!

Dude, did you even bother reading ANY of the sticky posts at the top of the forum? From all the questions you keep asking I'd rate your reading comprehension level at about a 0.3 on a scale of 1 to 10. (And I have been resisting flaming you before since we really don't mind new players coming and participating in our games, but I really am trying to just pass on relevant info you should have already picked up on your own without insulting you excessively.)

One of the stickies you should have read wrote:Only the following number of games allowed going at one time

1 Large Game (20+ players)/normal sized game
2 Normal games (11-20 players)
2 mini games (1-10 players)
So now you are in the queue to start once either Mini PTP (modded by Dark Loink) or Mini Bastard Frog Mod (modded by frogman) are over.

Also, and on this topic other players here may totally disagree with me, but please keep that C9 and F11 shit over on Mafiascum. (Yes, other people here sometimes use those names, and yes, I get that it is hexadecimal code for the possible setups, but really it is just a stupid inside joke that just begs new players to continually ask what the hell those could possibly mean.) So, in the future, please just say you are going to run a 7 player game with 4 possible setups (<list of setups>).

Finally, if this post offends you, then please only resent me and not the rest of the fine people who play in this forum.

Alright, now I'm just laughing.

1+2+2=5

(We also have a newbie game running whenever there are enough new players for one, and occasionally also have an invitational running, so we could actually have 7 games running at once, and this number will probably be higher in the future as player base continues to grow.)

CW, the problem we have is that this mafia forum doesn't have a massive player base. and on top of that, we have a few people who will sign up to heaps of games and spread themselves thin over playing them (I've been known to do this as well). Thus, we have to limit the games because otherwise we just get mass game-death; Heaps of people want to mod, and people will sign up, but then the games all start and no-one has time for any of them.

Don't worry, your mini is next in the queue, so we can start it soon, but there's no way we're setting a precedent of having people able to jump in, get a signup sheet going and start a game out of line.

I am thinking that a "Read the first post!" would be prudent in the title of this thread, so that people, y'know, do. Also, Gojoe, it'd be cool if you could put the numbers of each game that are allowed in the first post too.

Also, CW ought to be modding a Mini soon, so you can chuck that in.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but you should definitely wait a couple of months for this, or at least until winter break (for those of us in the northern hemisphere) as college/uni finals for the first semester are coming up.

How do minis work at the moment? I have a mini idea I could run (the Slightly Bastardish Mystery Action Spectacular [name subject to change at a future date], where everyone has a night action, but nobody knows what their action does, if anything), if I want to run this, do I need to queue it, or just put it in the signups, or what?

Well, it looks like the only minis running currently are CW's intro C9 and frogman's Bastard Frog Mod. I don't recall any others going through the queue/signups... so unless I missed something (and major apologies if I did! Does anyone else know more about what's going on?), it might be okay to go right into signups.

Please add to the queue a Star Wars-themed 12-player mini run by me.

If it is unacceptable for it to be a 12-player mini, I can make it work with 10 players, just not quite as well. Please let me know if I need to change it.

I'll be placing it into sign-ups once one of these three minis are over and another is nearing its end: Frog Bastard, CW's intro C9, Adacore's Job Agency.

I will be hosting a normal sized (about 15 players) game, whenever I next can, but the first post hasn't been updated since I last checked in a while back, is the Newbie game that is in day one now (with 12 players) a normal sized or mini?
After either snakes and ladders or the Manor one finished, I am next in the que, right?

Here is what I was thinking for the setup:
Spoiler:
There are 4 main groups.

The Havana mob
The Batista Regime
The peasants
The 26th of July movement

The Havana mob calls the hits. they get a night kill, like a normal mafia, but they loose if they are eliminated, or if Batista's Regime is eliminated.

Batista's regime are the people who steal and beat up on the peasants, using various roles which I will not disclose yet. They win if the 26th of july movement is eliminated.

The peasants are all vanilla townies. They win if the 26th of july movement wins

The 26th of july movements are a pro-town militant group. They can recruit people from the peasant group, and they win if Batista's regime is eliminated.

If you want to host it as a newbie game, then you can run it after the current newbie has finished.

PM is next in the queue for the normal sized game with a Star Trek themed mafia. His starts once either Snakes & Ladders or music finish (which should be fairly soon). Yours can go in after that, so it can start when both S&L and music are done (I'd doubt star trek will finish before either).

Hm, hendu just pointed me here. I've 'checked out' of mafia apparently, but I'd still like to run the game. It might take me until after Christmas to be able to start it, but if that's cool, people can start signing up. I was aiming for about 20 players or a little bit less.

Is there still an actively used signup thread, or did we transition to in-game 'signups'?

I think in-game sign-ups are on trial. Up to you when to start them; what with the holiday season and everything you may well be better off just waiting till after new years or so.

I'll take the next spot in the mini queue with 'time travel mafia'.

Actually, seeing as Gojoe isn't regularly updating the front page, and it's useful to have a list on the page you're reading, I'm going to make a list here of games, and people can update them as they see fit.

@Adacore, if you don't mind I won't put Buffy onto the large queue, because currently games are taking 2-3 months and I think it's best if the queue lasts for a max of 6 months (so only 2 games in the queue). I also put Hendu's mini in front of yours, because the next mini can start right away, and I'm not sure whether you've gotten yours set up yet.

@CW, I'm not sure exactly what you wanted to host, so you can insert as necessary.

PM and Hendu can start as soon as they want (or they can let another game go in front if they so choose) and the invitational can be left to it's own devices.

I'll stick the list on it's own page to make it easier to quote/paste because it's formatted.
